Valentine Decor

For those of you who know me you know I love to decorate for any holiday, therefore it will come as no surprise that I decided to make a decor item for Valentines Day.

I just received in the mail, about a week ago, the all new Cricut magazine! It is chock full of projects, cards, layouts, etc. which all can be made with your Cricut machine. One of the Valentine's Day projects was a frame with a silhouette of a man and a woman. It inspired me to come up with this:

I purchased a frame at the Dollar Store and removed the glass. I glued the background paper to the cardboard insert that came with the frame. The man, woman, filigree corners and scalloped heart all were cut with the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge. The title was cut with Stone Script Cricut cartridge. I glued tulle to the back side of the scalloped heart then topped it with two other die cut hearts, in layers, with pop dots, see picture:
I thought it turned out pretty cute and it was inexpensive to make.

Supplies used: cardstock - black; patterned paper I Love You by Me & My Big Ideas and Pink Dots in Je t'Adore by Making Memories; die cuts - Je t'Adore by Making Memories; tulle and frame - Dollar Store; Cricut cartridges - Sweethearts and Stone Script

I'd love to hear what you think!
