Well...check you out.

I was playing around in my craft room this afternoon and decided to give this weeks cue word over at Casology a try.

The cue word is Story.

I chose a stamp set by Unity for my card, called "Well...check you out."

I figured the library card fit perfectly with the "story" cue.

I placed my stamped image over some brown card stock and binder paper patterned paper. Then added a arrow brad for fun.

Supplies used: card stock - vanilla, brown; patterned paper is a scrap from my stash; stamps - Well...check you out by Unity; ink - Vintage Photo Distress Ink by Tim Holtz for Ranger; metal arrow - 7 Gypsies.

Thanks for stopping by!

Share The Dirt

I'd like to share a card with you that I made for the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge blog.

This week they had a sketch for their challenge.

For my card I chose to use the Green Thumb stamp set by Paper Smooches.

To make my sun I used the negative image of a sun die cut from the Silhouette Studio store. After masking part of the card with it I used a sponge blending tool to apply first Barely Banana on the whole sun, than YoYo Yellow and then a little bit of Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink.

Supplies used: card stock - white, 2 shades of brown; patterned papers - Bitty Dot Basics by Papertrey Inc. and a scrap from my stash; stamps - Green Thumb by Paper Smooches; inks - Jet Black Archival; Barely Banana and YoYo Yellow by Stampin' Up, Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink by Tim Holtz for Ranger; Copic Marker; Clear Glitter Glue.

Grab Life By The Beans

They had an interesting sketch over at Case This Sketch this week.

It was a challenge for me, which is good. I need to stretch my creative mojo!

After looking at the sketch for quite some time I decided to do some masking on my card and then went for a fun stamp set by Paper Smooches called Cyber Cafe because I love the little coffee beans stamp. Oh, ok, I love the whole stamp set.

I stamped one of the little coffee cups and then fussy cut it out and popped it up on the card for just a little dimension.

Supplies: card stock - white; patterned paper was a scrap from my stash; stamps - Cyber Cafe by Paper Smooches; ink - Jet Black Archival and Vintage Photo Distress Ink; Pop Dots.

I also used Fancy Labels #4 Framelits by Sizzix.

Thanks For The Good Looks Dad!

Today I'd like to share with you a card I created for Paper Smooches Sparks challenge.

This week the challenge is Anything Goes!!!

I had just received "Happy Mail" from Paper Smooches about a week ago and I wanted to use one of my new stamp sets Daddy Yo to create a Fathers Day card.

I love the sentiment stamp "Thanks For The Good Looks" and it sent off a spark in my brain to create the following card.

I ended up using a total of 4 Paper Smooches stamp sets to create the card!

I used the monster from Falling For You, I used a speech bubble from  He Said, She Said, I used the little dot border from Teen Routine and I used the tie along with two of the sentiment stamps from Daddy Yo

Supplie used: card stock - kraft, white; patterned paper - Lemonade Stand 6X6 pad by Bo Bunny; stamps - Paper Smooches; ink - Jet Black Archival, Green Galore by Stampin' Up; Google Eyes; Pop Dots.

Tune In

Hi all, this is my second post for today.

I wanted to play along in another couple of challenges

The first challenge was at Casology and the cue word this week was music.

The second challenge I wanted to join was at Case This Sketch.

I went pretty simple with my card.

I used the Music Sheet embossing folder by Tim Holtz to emboss a piece of Recycled White paper, then matted it with a border punched piece of black card stock. Cut a music Note out of black card stock also and then stamped the sentiment using Paper Smooches Boob Tubes.

Supplies Used: card stock - recycled white, black; embossing folder - Music Sheet by Tim Holtz for Sizzix; broder punch  - Fiskars; Silhouette Studio cut file; stamp - Boob Tubes by Paper Smooches; ink - jet Black Archival.

Your Love Ties Us Together

I've been busy in my craft room working on some Fathers Day cards.

For this creation I decided to play with the sketch for this week over at Freshly Made Sketches!

I used a couple of cut files from Silhouette Studio. One was a border cut  from a file called Chevron Borders, which I place on my mat at an angle before cutting my patterned paper with it. The other file was a Dad Icons file, which I used the tie icon from.

My stamp was from the new Paper Smooches set called Daddy Yo. A little twine bow to reinforce the "tie us together" theme and a few enamel dots.

Supplies used: cardstock - blue, tan; patterned paper from the Durable 6X6 pad by Authentique; Silhouette Studio cut files; stamps - Daddy Yo by Paper Smooches; ink - Faded Denim by Tim Holtz; enamel dots - Sugardot Stickers by Prima; twine - my stash; Pop Dots.

Thanks for popping by!!!

Get Well Cards

My husband was home today with this awful cold. I feel sorry for him (up to a point, LOL).
He is a tad bit grouchy when he's not feeling well.

I decided to hole up in my craft room and stay away from him (hoping not to catch it).

Anyways, it kind of inspired me to make a couple of Get Well cards.

Here is the first one:

I fussy cut some flowers from a sheet of patterned paper in the June Bug line by Basic Grey

Supplies used: card stock - blue and coral; patterned papers from June Bug by Basic Grey; doily - Wilton; chipboard letters - Blue Line by Cosmo Cricket; string and button - my stash; Pop Dots.

And, here is the second:

Also using a fussy cut flower from the same piece of patterned paper.

Supplies used: card stock - recycled white, yellow; patterned papers - June Bug by Basic Grey and Citrus Bliss 6X6 pad by Pink Paislee; stamps - Salutations by Paper Smooches; enamel dots - Sprinkles by Doodlebug and Chalk by My Minds Eye.

Hope Everyone in Your Home is Feeling Fine!!

Happy Mother's Day

We are getting close to Mothers Day!

Do you have any plans?

My hubby has offered to take me out to dinner, but not sure I want to fight the crowds everywhere, although I love to have an evening out.

Since we are running out of time, I thought I'd share a couple quick cards with you.

The first one is just a few cuts of paper, a stamp, and a couple of die cuts.

The tiny little bow is a die from Paper Smooches. I just didn't use the tail piece.

The Mom die is from Lil' Inker Designs

Supplies used: card stock - red; patterned papers - Emma's Shoppe and Party Day by Crate Paper; stamps - hearts2diefor by The Stamps Of Life; ink - Jet Black Archival; Mom die - Lil' Inker Designs; baby bow die - Paper Smooches.

The second card is also just a few cuts of paper and a cute chipboard accent.

I cut the circles out using my Silhouette Cameo and I masked the stamp so I could stamp each word separately.

Supplies used: card stock - coral, navy; patterned papers  and chipboard sticker from June Bug by Basic Grey; stamp - GCS Artstamps; ink - Jet Black Archival; enamel dots - My Minds Eye

Happy Mothers Day!!
