Die Cuttin' Divas Anything Goes Challenge

I  can hardly believe it, January is almost over!

I seriously don't know where this month went, I feel like I just put Christmas away.

Another week has come and gone so we have a new challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas

The challenge is "Anything Goes".

.

I decided to use the Anything Goes theme to create a masculine birthday card.

I used a star cut file to cut a large star out of white card stock to create a shaker card.
I also resized the star to cut a few stars out of patterned paper and from a separate cut file I cut a hammer.

Instead of the usual sequins that are used for the shaker elements, I chose some tiny nails.

Supplies used: card stock - white,  blue, grey and metallic grey;  Pattern papers were scraps from my stash; Silhouette cut files, stamp from SSS, enamel dots; nails.

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.

Hope to see you playing along with us!!!!

Cut It Up Organization Challenge

I don't know about you, but I am not always the most organized person :(

And part of that problem causes me to always seem to be looking for a pen and paper to write a list with.

So this weeks challenge inspired me to do something about that.

Our new challenge over at Cut It Up is Organization!
Don't forget a die cut!

Our sponsor for this weeks challenge is My Scrap Chick.
You have a chance to win a $20 certificate to their store.

For my project I used their cut file called Note Holder which you can purchase here.

I cut it out with some old Peachy Keen paper by American Crafts.

The cut file also comes with the ability to cut the square notecards with a heart cutout.

Now I won't be searching for that paper and pen!

Supplies Used: card stock - whitepatterned paper in Peachy Keen by American Crafts; cut file by My Scrap Chick

I can't wait to see your creation so pop on over to the Cut It Up blog and join us in the fun!

Die Cuttin' Divas Snowflake Challenge

It's been pretty cold around my neck of the woods, but very little precipitation.

Although it is kind of nice that we are not having to shovel snow, we really need the snowpack to keep our reservoirs  full.

And, on a side note, my daughter has a Husky who would love to go frolicking in the snow :)

This week  our challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas is about snow.

The challenge is "Snowflakes".

.

For my card I used a cut file from Silhouette Design Store which you can purchase here.
I sized the 3 snowflakes and then cut them out of white, silver and blue glitter paper.

I used a snowflake embossing folder to continue the theme.

For just a bit more sparkle I added a few rhinestones.

Supplies used: card stock - white, glitter paper in blue, silver and white;  Silhouette cut file, stamp from Recollections, snowflake embossing folder, Martha Stewart border punch, rhinestones.
