Whimsical Wednesday Winter Wonderland Challenge

Wow, we've had some fabulous entries for our first two challenges over at Whimsical Wednesday!

You do still have one more week to enter the "All About Love" challenge.

For this week the challenge is "Winter Wonderland" include sparkle and one or more snowflake.

For my card I made a trifold snow globe with some Silhouette Studio cut files. My little tag uses a sentiment from Stephanie's Snow Much Fun stamp set which you can purchase here.

.

To make my trifold snowglobe I used 4 different cut files - a long rectangle on the bottom, a label in the middle, a snowglobe and a snowman. You can see them on my mat here:

After placing all the cuts on the mat where I wanted them I the welded them together before cutting my card base out, as you can see here:

Then I went about cutting out the pieces of the snow globe and the snowman and decorated my card.

Supplies used: card stock - white, blue, red, orange, brown; patterned paper - Gracen Stripe by Making Memories; transparency - Staples; punch - EK Success; cut files - Silhouette Studio; black plastic eyes - Michaels; stickers - JoLee's and Stickeroni; twine - my stash; eyelet - Making Memories; sentiment stamp - Snow Much Fun by Whimsical Designs; ink - Tuxedo Black by Memento.

Now I hope you'll stop by Whimsical Designs and check out all the fabulous Winter Wonderland projects the talented design team has created!!!!!!

Mario Inspired Invitation

Wow, can't believe it's finally Friday!

I'm looking forward to this weekend, tomorrow is my Grandsons 5th birthday and sure to be a fun time at his "Mario" birthday party.

In honor of his birthday tomorrow I thought I would share the invitations I made for him. My daughter found this great tutorial on how to create a double slider card, you can watch it here.
I used this technique to create my "1 Up" invitations.

I found the graphic for the mushroom on-line.

If you've played Mario you know that when he bumps the question mark boxes with his head a mushroom pops out, and that is what I was going for with this invitation.

When you pull down on the invitation you get the wording on the bottom and the mushroom pokes out the top.

I did have address and phone info, but removed them for this pic.

Supplies used: card stock - white, grey, 2 shades of yellow; Mario mushroom image taken off the internet; font - your choice; plastic bag.
