Together We Can..... / LUFP

Kim artist and owner of Oak Pond Creations has designed a special image for breast cancer awareness and it's called "Battle Ready."  Kim is graciously donating all 2012 profits from the sales of this stamp to our LUFP Relay for Life page.  Thank you so much Kim!!

Here is the card I came up with using this beautiful image:

I made a side step card using this template:

I paper pieced and fussy cut the digi and used pop dots to attach it to the card.
A little pink Stickles dressed up the pink ribbons on the gloves.
I found the black and white "Rosie the Riveter" image on the internet.

Here is a side view:

Supplies used: card stock - two shades of pink; patterned paper - Peachy Keen by American Crafts and LUFP; digital image - Oak Pond Creations; Roasie the Riveter jpeg - internet; Together We Can sentiment - LUFP; Knock Out Cancer sentiment - created on my computer; Stickles; Pop Dots

Donations to Link Up for Pink Relay for Life page will be accepted through August 31, 2013.

Link Up For Pink - Challenge #6

r>

Wow, I can't believe how time has flown by lately!!!!

We are just a little over a week away from the beginning of our linking party over at Link Up For Pink. Excitement is brewing and we have over 75 sponsors with all kinds of amazing prizes!!!!!

I hope you are gearing up to join us and link up your Breast Cancer Awareness projects. You are definitely not going to want to miss this party!!!! Show your support, spread the awareness and get in the running for all the super giveaways!!!!!

Because we are so close to our linking party challenge #6 will run for only one week.

LUFP

The challenge will be from 9/20 to 9/26 with a winner announced 9/27.

We have two sponsors for this challenge that we'd like to shout out a BIG thank you to:

and
LUFP

The prize will be a stamp from Fresh Brewed Designs and some cotton muslin bags from State Line Bag Co.

The design team had so much fun altering these bags from State Line Bag Co. with Heathers fun stamps!

Here is mine made with Coffee Take Me Away which you can purchase here.

I think it would make the perfect gift bag for a Starbucks gift card or fill it with some beans and add a cute coffee mug for a special gift.

I stamped the image on the bag and colored it with Copic Markers.
A couple hints when doing this: 1. put a piece of paper in the bag so that the ink and markers don't bleed through to the back of the bag, and 2. Don't color all the way to the edge of the image as the ink will bleed a little.

I sewed the ribbon trims to the top and the bottom of the bag. I poked three holes in the bag, on the cup image, to put the heart brads through and cut two small slits on the sides of the towel to tie the ribbon through . I hand sewed the butterfly buttons and the canvas sentiment on. Oh, and I also tied a flower to the drawstrings.

I hope you'll hop over to Link Up For Pink to see what the rest of the design team did, there are some FABULOUS creations to take a peek at!!!!!!

Please come play with us in challenge #6 and join us for our SUPER linking party!!!

Front Door Decor / Pinterest Inspired Blog Hop

  • Welcome to our Pinterest Inspired Blog Hop.
Are you addicted to Pinterest?  Do you have several boards with pins that you said "I've got to try that!"?  Well here is your inspiration to create those awesome projects you want to try but have not yet done so.
If you arrived here from Jamie's blog Scrap Queen then you are in the right place.  If not please start at the beginning with our fabulous hostess Ashley of

I hope your not disappointed, but my craft today is not a Paper Craft. If you are like me though, you dabble in lots of different mediums besides paper crafts.
Most of us crafters just love to make things, period.

I saw this beautiful basket on Pinterest awhile ago and of course "pinned" it hoping to make it one day. When the opportunity to take part in this blog hop came along, I knew right away I would endeavour to create something similar.
    Here is my Pinterest inspiration:

From the blog - Lookie What I Did

And here is my take on on this pretty inspiration:

These are the details of my project: I purchased all the supplies at JoAnn's.

The basket has a flat back and is slim, just made to hang on a door.
The flowers are all silk or plastic flowers.
I put florist foam in the basket and then arranged the flowers, poking them in the foam.
    I painted the letter white.
Hot glued the burlap around the basket and then hot glued the letter on top of that.
Really a lot easier than I had anticipated.

Here is a pic a little further back so you can see how it looks on my door.

Thank you for stopping by to see what I've made that was inspired by Pinterest.  Your next stop is Tonya's blog Itty Bitty Ladybugs to see what inspired her.

I have some blog candy too, a little chest you can decorate!

All you have to do to be entered in the drawing for my blog candy is
    1. Be a Follower of my blog
    2. Leave a comment on this post

I will be choosing a winner on Tuesday!
