Die Cuttin' Divas - For The Boys Challenge

I hope everyone enjoyed their 3 day weekend!!!

Always goes by way to fast as far as I'm concerned,  already Tuesday so  it's time for a new challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas!

This week our challenge is For The Boys (masculine card).

Our sponsor for this weeks challenge is Digital Delights and the
prize is a $5 gift certificate!

I saw this new cut file by Snapdragon Snippets at the Silhouette Studio store, and I thought it would be a fun card to make for my brother for Fathers Day. I have a teenage neighbor down the street who collects Pop Can tops for bracelets. She graciously parted with a few so I didn't have to drink 8 sodas in a row to make this card, LOL!

The holes to sew the tabs on are already punched for you on the die! I just used some white DMC floss to attach them.

Supplies used: card stock - white, black, grey, shiny grey; patterned paper - Transportation by Tim Holtz for Ranger and Collectable in Favorite by Authentique; cut file - Silhouette Studio; pop can tabs; floss - DMC; brads - Making Memories.

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.

Hope to see you playing along with us!!!!

Die Cuttin' Divas - Birthday Card challenge

I adopted a 4 month old, terrier mix puppy on Saturday!!

I named her Elsa after Queen Elsa in the Disney movie Frozen, (since my granddaughter is in love with the movie.)

Here is a little picture of her and I outside, after we adopted her.

OK, enough about Elsa,  it is Tuesday so  it's time for a new challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas!

This week our challenge is Birthday Card.

Our sponsor for this weeks challenge is Theresa, The Scrapbooking Queen and the
prize is a 10 Pack of Action Wobbles

I saw this card on Pinterest. It was created by Jin Yong for the Craftsy blog with a tutorial on how to create the card to take the shape of the image. I followed her tutorial with very little trouble and was able to duplicate her darling card.

The file for the crab was from Birthday Fishes by Lettering Delights.

Supplies used: card stock - white, black, yellow, two shades of pink, two shades of blue; patterned papers by TPC Studio and Lawn Fawn; font - LDJ Nodge

After following Jin's tutorial, I thought the card was such fun to make, I decided to try another image.

For my second card I used an image from Silhouette Studio called birthday elephant, design #48636, by Miss Kate Cuttables.

Supplies used: card stock - white, black, 3 shades of grey, 2 shades of blue, 2 shades of yellow, 2 shades of pink; patterned paper by Cricut; font - LDJ Nodge; Pop Dots.

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.

Hope to see you playing along with us!!!!

Die Cuttin' Divas - Action Wobble Challenge

I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing Mothers Day!

I traveled to Turlock to spend the day with my Mom and my sister! My daughter, who lives in San Francisco, surprised us all by showing up to spend the day with us. We had a wonderful visit!!!

Since it is Tuesday it's time for a new challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas!

This week our challenge is Wobble it or add dimension

Our sponsor for this weeks challenge is Theresa, The Scrapbooking Queen and the
prize is a 10 Pack of Action Wobbles

For my card I used a SVG file I downloaded from Grealish Greetings.

I did alter the cut file. It was for a card, but I removed the other half as I wanted only the minion.
I have him on an action wobble so that he well shake back and forth.

I created the sentiment on my computer.

Supplies used: card stock - white, black, yellow, brown, grey, red, two shades of blue; font - Scribble; heart punch - Martha Stewart; Action Wobble

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.

Do you have plans today to include a little time creating a layout of someone special in your life?

I love creating a special page around a favorite picture of someone I love!! I hope when they look at it in the future it brings back wonderful memories of good times had.

In celebration of National Scrapbooking Day I've created a layout of my grandchildren's recent Easter egg hunt.

Supplies used: card stock 3 shades of blue, 3 shades of pink, orange, yellow, green, white, black; patterned papers from Peep by We R Memory Keepers; Snapdragon Snippets cut files at Silhouette Studio online store; twine - my stash; Pop Dots.
