Die Cuttin' Divas Fall Colors Challenge

I've been noticing the trees changing into the beautiful hues of fall - reds, oranges and yellows.
Lovely colors before the stark and cold winter.

I love how nature gives us the beautiful colors of spring before the heat of summer and the gorgeous colors of fall before the snow of winter.

This week we'd like you to use the colors of fall for your project.

Our challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas this week is Fall Colors.

.

I used a cut file from Silhouette Studio to make my simple little fall card.
Its a pop dot card by Lori Whitlock which you can purchase here.

I stamped my sentiment on a wooden leaf and tied a bit of twine near the top of the acorn to finish it off.

Supplies used: cardstock -white, orange, brown; Silhouette Studio cut file; patterned paper by Echo Park; wooden adhesive leaves, sentiment stamp and twine from the dollar section at Target.

Cut It Up Bags or Boxes Challenge

Fall has officially begun.

Sweater weather on the way, shorter days, cool crisp evenings, etc. I have to say that I am looking forward to fall this year. Usually I am sorry to see summer end, but this year was unusually hot for an extended time and also we were stuck inside a lot because of smoke from the California fires. I can officially say, for once, I am happy fall is here.

It is time for a new challenge over at Cut It Up.

Our challenge is bags or boxes. Create a box or a bag that contains die cut!

We have two sponsors for this challenge.

The first sponsor is CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and you have a chance to win a $15 certificate to their store.

The second sponsor is The Cutting Cafe and you have a chance to win any 3 sets of your choice.

For my project I made a treat bag using a cut file from SVG Attic.

It a Sugar Skull Gift Bag and you can purchase it here.

I am having a Dia De Los Muertos party for Halloween this year, and I thought this would be a cute bag to send some treats home with my guests.

Supplies Used: card stock - white, black, 2 shades of pink, blue, yellow, purple; cut file from SVG Attic

I can't wait to see your creation so pop on over to the Cut It Up blog and join us in the fun!

I spent the weekend down at my parents house for a much needed visit.
We had a lovely, relaxing weekend. Completed 2 jigsaw puzzles, one 500 piece and one 750 piece!

.

I went diagonal from bottom left to top right - twine, pattern papers, orange.
I used a file from Silhouette Studio by Doodlebug to cut out my cute little pumpkin.

I also used a cut file by Doodlebug for the sentiment, which I cut out in vinyl.

Die Cuttin' Divas Any Animal Challenge

My Mom and Dad gave me some birthday money, thanks Mom and Dad, and guess what I bought?

OK, I'll tell you, the Cricut Easy Press! This is Cricut's tool for ironing on heat press vinyl, and can I say I just love it!!! Much better than using an iron. Precise temperature for the fabric you are working on, plus a built in timer. I have been making t-shirts like crazy, but it will do a lot of other things as well.

So, I used my new tool for this weeks challenge.

Our challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas this week is Any Animal.

.

I made a t-shirt with a Husky on it for my granddaughter who owns a husky.

I used a file which I purchased on Etsy. You can grab the file here.

Happy to say she loved it and wore it to school the very next day.

Supplies used: Impressed Vinyl in black, blue and light pink; cut file purchased on Etsy, T-shirt.

Die Cuttin' Divas Sketch Challenge

Is it just me, or is Starbucks putting Pumpkin Spice Latte's out in August jumping the gun on fall?

I like Pumpkin Spice, don't get me wrong, but let's let summer run its course first. Why do we have to rush all the seasons? Halloween decor in stores in August, etc. I don't want to think about Halloween when it is 90 outside, even though it is my favorite holiday.

OK, rant over, LOL.

Ready for a new challenge?

Our challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas this week is a sketch challenge.

.

I chose to use this sketch to make a Thank You card for teachers.

I used some adorable papers by Doodlebug and a cute cut file from Silhouette Studio.

I just love the worms eyes!

The cut file happens to be from Doodlebug too, and you can purchase it here.

Supplies used: cardstock - white, black, red, grey, brown, 2 shades of green; patterned papers by Doodlebug; Silhouette Studio cut file; thanks die by Simon Says Stamp; enamel dots by Recollections.

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.
