Die Cuttin' Divas Anything Goes Challenge

I hope you got your summer off to a fun start over Memorial Day weekend!

We enjoyed a BBQ over at my daughters house. Hamburgers, hotdogs and lots of fun playing Cornhole.

Well, the long weekend is over and it's Tuesday and time for a new challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas

The challenge this week is "Anything Goes"

.

I used this challenge to create a birthday card for my daughter using a stamp set and matching dies by Lawn Fawn.

I cased a card on Pinterest and fringe cut some metallic gold paper and green crepe paper to mimic the fringe on a PiƱata,

Supplies used: card stock -  white, metallic gold; stamps and dies by Lawn Fawn; crepe paper; fringing scissors by Martha Stewart; Kuretake Clean Color Real Brush Watercolour Pens; gold cord.

One Card Repeated Yet Different

I set myself a goal of making 100 Christian cards and donating them to either our church or to another charity. To date, I have completed 70.

I didn't want it to be so difficult that I wouldn't keep at it so I thought if I made 4 cards of a particular design it would be slightly easier. I didn't think I wanted the 4 to be exactly alike though, so
I have been making four copies of a card, but changing it slightly each time.

I wanted to share the four I created this weekend. Basically, I changed up the patterned papers and embellishments, but used the same layout and sentiment stamp.

All of the cards use the "Trust in the Lord" stamp from Phrases & Praises by Papertrey Ink.
They all also include tags which I cut from my Silhouette.

The first card uses some beautiful papers by Anna Griffin from the Amelie 6X6 paper pad, the Courages Stamp & Die Set by Essentials by Ellen, and a scrap of eyelet lace.

The second card uses the Moments paper pad by My Minds Eye, punches by Martha Stewart and Fiskars and rhinestones by Bo Bunny

For the third card I went to a paper pad called Infused by Authentique, a border punch by Fiskars and stamps from the Courage Stamp & Die Set from Essentials by Ellen.

Do you see a mistake on this one?

Well, I placed my paper a little off by accident and it cut the scalloped tag into the bottom edge of the patterned paper which should normally be trimmed off. Well, I kinda liked the way it looked like I did it on purpose, so I used it and didn't cut out another.

The final version of this card I used paper by My Minds Eye, a punch by Martha Stewart, and rhinestones by Kaiser Kraft.
The butterflies were fussy cut from one of the patterned papers.

Well, there you have it!

Four slightly different, yet the same, cards.

Thanks for taking a peek today!

Die Cuttin' Divas Graduation Challenge

It's that time of year!

June is almost upon us and the school year is coming to a close.

Many kids are excited because they will be graduating this year, and we are celebrating that accomplishment.

The challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas this week is Garduation.

.

I found this darling graduation card at the Silhouette store. With this cut file you can make either a feminine or masculine robe.

I heat embossed the sentiment.
Although it had pearls in the cut file that you could use I thought it would be more fun to use the pearls by Kaiser Kraft.

Supplies used: card stock - black, white, red, peach, grey;  cut file from Silhouette Studio, pearls - Kaiser Kraft; white embossing powder; VersaMark by Tsukineko

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.

Die Cuttin' Divas All About Tags Challenge

I hope all of you Mom's had a great Mother's Day!

I was fortunate enough to be treated to breakfast and dinner on Mother's Day, along with spending the afternoon playing Sushi Go (a super fun card game) with my family.

All in all a wonderful day :)

Since Tuesday has rolled around again we have a new challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas .

The challenge this week is "All About Tags".

.

I decided to use this challenge to make an "end of school year" present for my grandsons teacher.

I used a stitched tag die by Paper Smooches to make the tag for my gift.

I created my sentiment in Silhouette Studio and cut the letters out of vinyl.

The coffee cup is from the Cyber Cafe stamp set by paper smooches.

I stamped the coffee ring on sticker paper, wrote the coffee flavor inside the ring and then punched it out using a circle punch.

Supplies used: card stock - kraft; patterned paper is from my scrap pile; brown vinyl; stitched tag die by Paper Smooches; Cyber Cafe stamp set by Paper Smooches; ink by Memento; paper sack with clear window from Pick Your Plum; coffee by Ghiradelli; twine from my stash.

Die Cuttin' Divas Mother's Day/Feminine Challenge

A special day for all the Mom's who have given so much of themselves for their children.

We are honoring our Moms with this weeks challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas .

The challenge this week is Mother's Day/Feminine.

.

I chose a cut file by Lori Whitlock for my card which you can purchase here from the Silhouette Studio store.

Just a hint - I've found cutting my sentiments out of vinyl works super!
The small sentiments cut so perfectly in the vinyl and are so easy to attach to the cards. No glue involved :)

Supplies used: card stock - brown, kraft, 2 shades of purple, 2 shades of green, yellow; patterned paper is from my scrap pile; white vinyl; cut file by Silhouette Studio.
