Die Cuttin' Divas Polar Bear Challenge

We have had a very cold and snowy winter this year!

I know a lot of the rest of the country has also. There has been snow in places that pretty much never see snow.

Kind of makes you think of the arctic.

Makes our challenge this week pretty fitting :)

Our challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas this week is Polar Bear!

.

For my card, both the polar bear and the snowflakes are die cuts from a recent Spellbinders card kit I received.

The floating iceberg is a cut file from Silhouette Studio.

Supplies used: card stock - white, brown, pink, 2 shades of blue; patterned paper by Spellbinders; die cuts by Spellbinders; cut file from Silhouette Studio; sentiment and star tickers by Spellbinders.

I would like to announce the winner of last weeks RAK surprise gift picked by Random.org:

This is beautiful! I love the sequin accents. My recent RAK is sending a card to my plumber who came to my house on Friday with sunglasses on and said he wouldn't take them off because his dog died the night before. I don't even know him but I sent a card to the company attn to him.

Congrats to Meghan! If you email me your address I will mail your gift to you.

I have decided to continue with this RAK through the month of March!

If you leave me a comment this week telling me your worst or funniest winter experience, you'll be in the running for next weeks giveaway!

Die Cuttin' Divas RAK Challenge

I think in this day and age we need kindness more than ever.

I also think it takes far less energy to be kind, than not. Just remember it takes less muscles to smile than to frown :)

Have you ever participated in doing a RAK (Random Act of Kindness)? I have and I think it truly brought me more joy than the person on the receiving end.

This we week are highlighting kindness for our challenge.

Our challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas this week is RAK!

.

For my card I used a cut file from Cricut Design Space called Watercolor Floral Wedding Thank You Card.
I chose not to use the Thank You sentiment and instead substituted a Kindness die from Papertrey Ink and a sentiment stamp from Simon Says Stamp

I added a few sequins for a little sparkle,

Supplies used: card stock - white, pink, green black; border punch by Martha Stewart; scut file from Cricut Design Space; sentiment die - Papertrey Ink; sentiment stamp - Simon Says Stamp; Versmark; white embossing powder; sequins.

To go along with our theme of Random Acts Of Kindness I will be giving away a surprise gift to one person. All you have to do to qualify is leave a comment telling me a RAK you have done in the past.

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.

Cut It Up "Inspired By A Love Song" Challenge

The following is the first verse and chorus of a song by Orleans that came out in 1976:

We've been together since way back when
Sometimes I never want to see you again
But I want you to know
After all these years
You're still the one
I want whisperin' in my ear

You're still the one
I want to talk to in bed
Still the one
That turns my head
We're still having fun
And you're still the one

I feel like this song kind of sums it up for my husband and I.

I chose to use it as inspiration for our challenge this week.

Our challenge this week is Inspired By A Love Song.  Share a project inspired by a love song and share the song with us and don't forget the die cut!

The sponsor for this weeks challenge is Taylord Expressions and you have a chance to win a $20 certificate to their store.

For my card I used a stamp set called All You Need Is Love by Taylord Expressions and 2 dies by Taylord Expressions - Love Notes and Record

I also used a die set by Spellbinders - Die D-Lites Hearts Etched Dies.

Supplies Used: cardstock - white, red, black; patterned papers from my stash, sentiment stamp from Taylord Expressions; dies from Taylord Expressions and Spellbinders; Versamark; black embossing powder; red thread

I can't wait to see your creation so pop on over to the Cut It Up blog and join us in the fun!

Die Cuttin' Divas Sketch Challenge

Is anyone else out there ready for spring?

I, for one, would like to tell Old Man Winter that he is no longer welcome! I would like to feel the sunshine and see some flowers :)

Guess I'm going to have to wait a while longer, more snow is predicted in my neck of the woods.
Oh well!

Since it's Tuesday, it's time for a new challenge.

Our challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas this week is a sketch challenge!

.

I received a new die set from Spellbinders in the mail last week and thought I would try it out for this weeks sketch.

The die is called Die D-Lites Hearts Etched Dies and is on sale now over at Spellbinders website.

The dies have the holes that you can use to add stitching like I did, but it looks just as cute without the stitching. The set also comes with the smaller hearts and the leaves.

Supplies used: card stock - pink, green, black; patterned papers Better Together Mieux Ensemble by Recollections, D-Lites Hearts Etched Dies by Spellbinders, sentiment stamp from Michaels; thread; pink embossing powder; Versamark; white pen; enamel dots.

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.

Hope to see you playing along with us!!!!
