Die Cuttin' Divas Halloween Challenge

Do you have your pumpkins carved?

Are your little ghosts and goblins ready for Saturday night?

Better get that candy stash!

We are getting in on the Halloween fun this week. Our challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas  is Halloween.

I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest to create my own easel card to be used with a battery operated tea light.

I used three separate cut files from the Silhouette store to design this card.  I used elements from Easel Card Spooky by Snapdragon Snippets - Design ID #22008, I used one of the ghosts from Ghost set by Sarah Bailey - Design ID #67942,  and I used the Boo from Cobweb Card by Jennifer Wambach - Design ID #32717.

Of course, I did a lot of resizing and adding the ghost to several layers of the card. I am happy with the final result.

Supplies used: card stock - black, white, orange; patterned papers is a scrap from my stash, vellum, Silhouette Studio cut files, tea light.

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.

Die Cuttin' Divas "Anything Goes" challenge

I had a busy weekend this weekend.

My husband and I made gravestones for our front yard. We cut them out of wood this year, 'cause I'm tired of the styrofoam ones that blow all over the place and fall apart.

They turned out pretty darn cool! I'll have to share them with you on another post.

It's time for a new challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas and this week we are giving you free reign to let your creativity go in any which way you like.

This week the challenge is "Anything Goes"

I decided to make a Halloween cat tea light holder. It is a cut file from Silhouette Studio, called 3d classy cat luminaire by Marji Roy - Design ID #67874

There is a cut out portion behind his face to put the battery operated tea light.

I used vellum behind his eyes so the light would shine through.

Supplies used: card stock - black; yellow vellum; ribbon and twine from my stash; metal boo ghost - Making Memories

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.
