Die Cuttin' Divas Father's Day Challenge

Well, June just seems to be flying by! We are already in the middle of the month, I feel like I need to catch my breath.

This weekend we are honoring our Fathers and thanking them for everything they do for their families. It's time to give Dad a big pat on the back and a day that revolves around him.

We have a new challenge for you to try over at  Die Cuttin' Divas .

This week it is Father's Day/Masculine.

.

I decided to go a little retro with my card. I took a file called RETRO CASSETTE TAPE
by Sarah Hurley
Design ID #28563 and I used the weld feature in the design program to make this file into a card by welding a rectangle for the back flap.

the sentiment was created using two stamps sets by Paper Smooches - Daddy Yo and Sentiment Sampler.

Supplies used: card stock -black, white, 2 shades of grey, orange; stamps - Daddy Yo and Sentiment Sampler by Paper Smooches; ink - Jet Black Archival; Silhouette Studio cut file

Just popping in today to share a card that I created for this weeks challenge over at
Freshly Made Sketches.

We've had some lovely sunny days here lately and I guess it put me in a sunny mood because I picked a sunshine yellow color palette for my card.

I cut the cute strawberries out with my Cricut using the Preserves cartridge.

For the sentiment I used a stamp by Whimsical Designs and a die from Simon Says Stamp.

Supplies used: card stock - white, yellow, vanilla, 2 shades of red, green; patterned papers by October Afternoon and Alegra Creatives; die - Simon Says Stamp; stamp - Whimsical Designs.

Father's Day Cards

We have another week until we celebrate Dad!

Time to honor all the hard working father's out there. Give them all a big pat on the back for everything they do for their families.

Today I'd like to share a couple Father's Day cards I created.

For the first card I used a stamp set by Paper Smooches called Daddy Yo which you can purchase here.  I stamped the sentiment on a circle cut with a die by Lawn Fawn. Fussy cut the bottle and the bow tie.

I chose patterned papers in Durable by Authentique.

Supplies used: card stock - white, kraft; patterned paper - Durable by Authentique; stamps - Daddy Yo by Paper Smooches; ink - Memento; twine - May Arts; stitched circle die - Lawn Fawn; Pop Dots

My second card was created using patterned paper by Basic Grey in the Bow Ties collection.

The sentiment is a mini stamp set by Papertrey Ink called Boutique Borders: Father Mini Stamp Set, which has a matching die set.

Supplies used: card stock - brown, kraft; patterned paper - Bow Ties by Basic Grey; stamps and die - Papertrey Ink; ink - Stampin' Up and Memento; border punch - Martha Stewart; brads - We R Memory Keepers; Pop Dots

Have a wonderful weekend!

Cards for Friends

Just popping in today to share a couple "Friends" cards I created with last months Simon Says Stamp Card Kit!

This kit is filled with bright and cheery papers, stamps and embellishments.

I picked the fun little sunshine and cute little cloud to be the focal point of my card.

Several of the different patterned papers from the kit make my background, a cute sentiment sticker and a few sequins, also from the kit, finish off this clean and simple card.

Supplies used: Card stock - white; patterned paper - Lawn Fawn; circle die - Lawn Fawn; stamp - Simon Says Stamp; Copic markers; sequins - Simon Says Stamp; Sentiment sticker - Pinkfresh Studio; Pop Dots

For the second card I decided to make the fun kite stamp the focal point.  I didn't want the kites to have faces, so I masked the faces before inking up the stamp.

I used a sun and cloud die by Lawn Fawn in my background. Some twine for the kite strings, also by Lawn Fawn. A border punch by Fiskars. Sentiment sticker and sequins included in the card kit!

Supplies used: Card stock - white, yellow, blue; patterned paper - Lawn Fawn; stamp - Simon Says Stamp; sequins - Simon Says Stamp; Sentiment sticker - Pinkfresh Studio;  dies - Lawn Fawn; border punch - Fiskars; twine - Lawn Fawn: Pop Dots
