Die Cuttin' Divas "Anything Goes" Challenge

Well, I don't know about you, but my summer got off to a great start this last weekend.

I got to spend two days of it having adventures like hiking and going to the pool with my grandchildren. So much fun to have them to spoil for a couple days :)

Since Tuesday has rolled around again, it is time for a new challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas.

Our challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas this week is "Anything Goes".

.

Our sponsor for this weeks challenge is:

I just received my Spellbinders card kit in the mail and it had some fun dies included in it.

I decided to use them to create a pretty card, along with some papers and stickers included in the same kit.

I also used the "you" out of an "I love you" die I had from Simon Says Stamp.

The two pictures are from two different light sources. Makes a big difference, doesn't it?

Supplies used: cardstock - white, navy, gold; patterned paper, stickers dove die and embroidery hoop die from Spellbinders May card kit; You die from Simon Says Stamp.

Die Cuttin' Divas Use A Turtle Challenge

Don't you think turtles are amazing creatures? They move so slowly, but they have such determination!

I have been to Hawaii several times and I never cease to be amazed by the sea turtles there. They are so big and it is so neat to see them swimming in the ocean.

Our challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas this week is "Use A Turtle".

.

While I didn't use a sea turtle on my card, I was inspired by a video on Facebook to create my card. It was a video of one turtle helping right side another turtle who was on his back. It was such a cool video!

The cut file for this card is from Silhouette Studio.

Don't you just love the look on his face?

It's like, dang, what do I do now?

Supplies used: cardstock - white, black, 2 shades of green, yellow, pink; patterned apars from Recollections and Best Creations; Silhouette Studio cut file.

Cut It Up Cats or Dogs Challenge

Do you have a pet at your house?

Is it a cat or a dog?

I have a dog named Elsa. I have owned a dog for most of my life. I did have two dogs and a cat at one time a few years ago, but for the most part I prefer dogs.

My little Elsa was a rescue from an animal shelter and she has the sweetest dispostition.
Here is a picture of her, outside of the shelter, the day we adopted her.

And here is a more recent picture. As you can see she has lost most of her brown coloring and she is much furrier.

Our new challenge over at Cut It Up is Cats or Dogs?  Who Rules?
Create a project that has cat and/or dog on it. Don't forget a die cut!

We have 2 sponsors for this weeks challenge!!

Our second sponsor is Newton's Nook and you have a chance to win a $20 certificate to their store.

For my project I am using both stamps and dies from Newton's Nook, called
Delightful Doxies

I stamped the dachshund on copic paper, for better coloring, and on a green patterned paper, so I could fussy cut his bandana out.

I created the sky and grass with I Kan'dee chalks by Pebbles.

I also used edge dies by Spellbinders for my card.

Die Cuttin' Divas Favorite Color Combination

What is your favorite color?

Has it always been the same or have you changed over the years?

As far back as I can remember, my favorite color has always been red. I love to wear red, I love to use red in my decorating, and I love to use red in my crafting.

Our challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas this week is Favorite Color Combination.

.

Of course, I had to use red! What could be better with red than black?
Red and black is my color combination for the birthday card I created.

I saw a similar card to this one on Pinterest. I just had to create my own version.

To create this card, I first downloaded a Paris street clipart, sized it to fit my card and printed it on cardstock.

I stamped the image of the girl twice. On the second stamped image, I fussy cut out only her dress and used it as a pattern to cut a dress out of red cardstock.

I added another pop of red with a banner on the side,

Supplies used: cardstock - white, black, red; stamps -  Close to my Heart and Hobby Lobby; Pop Dots

I'm a day late and a dollar short!

A lot going on around my house right now and I completely spaced this post which was supposed to be live yesterday..

My apologies to all.

The sayings were cut from Oracle 651 vinyl in black, red and green using my Silhouette machine.

I filled each cup with a couple of Keurig pods, a chocolate dipped spoon (my daughter and I hand dipped 32 spoons) and a chocolate hazelnut crepe.

Here is a pic of all 32 cups ready to go!
