Die Cuttin' Divas "Anything Goes" challenge

I had a busy weekend this weekend.

My husband and I made gravestones for our front yard. We cut them out of wood this year, 'cause I'm tired of the styrofoam ones that blow all over the place and fall apart.

They turned out pretty darn cool! I'll have to share them with you on another post.

It's time for a new challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas and this week we are giving you free reign to let your creativity go in any which way you like.

This week the challenge is "Anything Goes"

I decided to make a Halloween cat tea light holder. It is a cut file from Silhouette Studio, called 3d classy cat luminaire by Marji Roy - Design ID #67874

There is a cut out portion behind his face to put the battery operated tea light.

I used vellum behind his eyes so the light would shine through.

Supplies used: card stock - black; yellow vellum; ribbon and twine from my stash; metal boo ghost - Making Memories

Dia Cuttin' Divas Sketch Challenge

Tuesday has rolled around again and its hard to believe, but August is over!

For most kids school has begun again, I hope you are all adjusting to the hustle and bustle of school time.

Well, this week over at Die Cuttin' Divas we have a sketch challenge for you.

I decided to use this sketch to create a wedding card. I pulled out my Sweethearts Cricut cartridge to cut out this cute bug. I raised the bumper up with pop dots and tied a couple bells on the bumper with twine.

For the card base I used a Silhouette Studio cut file which I altered from a trifold card by using the eraser tool to remove one of the circle folds.

Supplies used: card stock - white, black, greay, metallic grey, red, soft blue; Patterned Papers by Doodlebug; enamel dots by Doodlebug; Sweethearts Cricut cartridges; Silhouette Studio cut file; stamps by Paper Smooches; Memento ink;  Pop Dots
