Birthday Valentine and Anniversary Cards

Well, I felt today like I got my mojo back. I didn't seem to have a hard time getting the creative juices flowing, whereas yesterday I sat at my craft desk for the longest time with nothing terribly inspiring coming to mind. I am really looking forward to Saturday as I have a project in mind that I am excited about. More to come on that.... Anyway, todays first card choice was Totally Awesome Birthday which inspired me to make this card:

Card is 4 X 5 1/2

Supplies used: cardstock - white, red, green, blue and black; patterned paper - Calypso by Bo Bunny; rub on - thank u-Ned Jr. sidekicks-miniMarks by American Crafts; small flower punch - no source

The next card I chose was Simple Birthday Wishes. The design, to me, seemed to lend itself to an anniversay card. Rather than using a stamp and glitter, I fussy cut flowers from a silk screened paper by Hambly and went black instead of white.

Card is 5 X 6 1/2

Supplies used: cardstock - black and metallic gold; patterned paper - Cherry Blosson-screenprints by Hambly; and Paper Reverie-Noir by Making Memories; pigment ink - gold by ColorBox; stamp - wedding/marriage by Inkadinkado.

Next I picked Sleek Just Because which I made changes to to transform it into a Valentine's Day card. I used my Cricut machine to cut out the flower and then used the paper with the flower image removed.

Card is 5 X 6 1/2

Supplies used: cardstock- black and red; patterned paper - Reverie-Noir by Making Memories; rub on - remember in Simply Stated by Making Memories; flower cut with Graphically Speaking Cricut cartridge.

Last I chose Flower Burst Thank You card. Rather than masking the paper and stamping several images, I used a cool patterned paper and just cut a portion out of the paper. I also chose to use brads rather than rhinestones because I felt they accented the design on the paper better.

Card is 4 X 5 1/2

Supplies used: cardstock - white; patterned paper - scrap from my stash; sentiment rub on - Ginger sidekicks-miniMarks by American Crafts; brads - Doodlebug and Making Memories.

Have a creative day!!!
