Welcome to the Neighborhood Gift Box

Todays creation is for the Celebrate The Occasion challenge. This weeks theme is "New House" and that brought to mind, for me, bringing a new neighbor a welcome basket. Wouldn't it be special if the basket itself was home made. Makes a thoughtful gift even that much better. You can fill it with goodies like cookies or bread or you could fill it with coupons to restaurants, phone numbers to utility companies, recommendations for doctors and dentists, etc.

The door was cut at 3 1/4" with real dial size on and both the topiary were cut at 2 1/2" with real dial size on from the Wild Card Cricut cartridge. The grass was cut at 1 1/4" and the tree at 3 1/2" from the Give A Hoot Cricut cartridge. I did the windows with my paper trimmer and a square punch.

Supplies used - cardstock - textured brown, black, two reds, two greens, yellow, grey, brown; small plastic bubble dot for door handle; square punch by Ek Success; tag from Staples Office Supply; pop dots; sentiment from Squiggle Fly, Wild Card and Give A Hoot Cricut cartridges

Thanks for looking!
I appreciate all your comments!

This is such a great idea. I do have to make something next week for a friends son who just got his first apartment. This just might be the perfect box for some home made cookies. :)
TFS!

Anyone would love to receive such a cute welcome box! I love the details you put into it! You could even customize it to look like the neighbor's home (same paint color, flowers, trees that match their new home). Thank you for sharing!

So glad I found this. We just had new neighbors move in and I was looking for an idea of something to make and take to them. Perfect!
