You're On TV

I'd like to share the card I made for my hubby's birthday last week. It is based on a design by Leigh Ann Baird that I saw in one of my card magazines.

The TV is cut out with the Groovy Times Cricut cartridge. I designed the screen in my Print Shop program. I printed it out on plain paper, after making the screen cut out of cardstock on my Cricut I put double sided tape on the reverse and taped it on top of the plain paper and ran it back through the printer. I also cut the screen part out again on a transparency and put that over the cardstock screen so it would look more like a glass TV screen.

I wanted the background of my card to resemble the walls and floor of a room so I picked out my papers accordingly. I attached some ribbon dividing the floor and wall to hopefully give the illusion of baseboard.

I thought it turned out pretty cute :)

Supplies used - cardstock - 2 shades pf brown, light blue, off white, black, mustard yellow; transparency; patterned paper - Easy Peasy in Peachy Keen by American Crafts; fonts - Berlin Sans and ARDarling; brads - American crafts; clip art - crown, hand; Groovy Times Cricut cartridge; ribbon - my stash; Pop Dots.
