Hay! It's Your Birthday!

I had a little free time this afternoon and I thought I'd make a fun, masculine card for the challenge at Dynamic Duos this week!

Now, normally the colors Garden Green and Daffodil Delight would make you think about spring flowers, but I guess I'm not normal 'cause I though of a John Deere tractor carrying hay. And... I am not even close to being a farmer, haha!

Anyway.... I cut the tractor and hay out with my Cameo using two different Silhouette Studio cut files. I created the sentiment on my computer in my Print Shop program. Took a piece of pattern paper and a piece of card stock and border punched them, then added a little zig zag stitching after I attached them to my card base.  A couple of brads on the tractors tires adds a little interest.

Supplies used: card stock - white, black, grey, yellow and green; patterned paper - Depot Park from Hometown by October Afternoon; Silhouette Studio cut files; border punch - Fiskars; brads - Making memories; font - HeeHaw; Pop Dots; sewing machine.

Retro Masculine Birthday Card

My second post for today is a masculine card I made for Seize The Birthday.

I found this fun retro image at The Graphics Fairy and I thought it would make a great masculine birthday card. I paired it with some retro looking paper from My Minds Eye, ran a strip of card stock through my big shot and added a few Skittles just for fun.

Supplies used: card stock white, turquoise blue, mustard yellow; patterned paper - Out and About in Good Day by My Minds Eye; image - Graphics Fairy; stamp - Sentiment Sampler by Paper Smooches; ink - Tuxedo Black by Memento; embossing folder - James Set by Cuttlebug; Skittles - my stash.
