Cut It Up Butterflies and Bugs Challenge

I think butterflies are the most beautiful and delicate creatures!

And, to think they transform from a caterpillar into a butterfly is so incredible.

When I saw that our challenge this week was butterflies and bugs, I knew which I would choose.

Our challenge this week is Butterflies and Bugs, share a project with butterflies or bugs on it (or both!)  and don't forget the die cut!

The sponsor for this weeks challenge is Dreaming Tree and you have a chance to win $15 to their store.

For my creation I used a cut file from our sponsor Dreaming Tree to create a beautiful pop up card.
You can purchase this cut file here.

They have a very good video showing you how to assemble the card. It is super easy and makes a gorgeous presentation when you open the card,

The front of the card is 3D also, with a pretty little flower.

Supplies Used: cardstock - white, purple, blue, green and purple glitter; cut file from Dreaming Tree; sequin sticker from Jelly Bean Soup; stamp by Julie Nutting; glitter pen.

I can't wait to see your creation so pop on over to the Cut It Up blog and join us in the fun!

Die Cuttin' Divas 3D project Challenge

We accomplished getting my front yard and porch decorated for Halloween over the weekend!

It is complete with graveyard which has 2 (full size) skeletons walking their dogs (skeletons also).
The front porch is a mad scientist lab (no gore), but lots of cool stuff.
On the other side of the walkway there is a full size witch (my husband cut out of plywood) and her cat.

Can you tell I love Halloween?

Well, since it is Tuesday, on to our new challenge.

Our challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas this week is 3D.

.

I chose to create a 3D lantern with a file I purchased at Dreaming Tree.

You can find that file here.

Here is a video of it with a LED color changing tea light inside.

There is a witch on 2 opposite sides.

And a Spooky jack-o-lantern on the other 2 sides.

Supplies used: cardstock -black, purple, teal; vellum - orange, yellow; glitter cardstock - black;  cut file from Dreaming Tree.

Hope to see you playing along with us!!!!

Cut It Up Halloween Challenge

The way the summer went by, before you can catch your breath it will be Halloween!

Hope you bought everything you need decor or craft wise, because they are already putting Christmas out in full force! I wish we didn't have to rush the seasons so. I don't want to have to think about what I may need for Halloween in July and August, but it seems that's the way it goes now.

Anyway, we would like you to think about Halloween for your creation this week.

Our challenge is Halloween. Create a Halloween project that contains a die cut.

Our sponsor is Dreaming Tree and you have a chance to win a $15 certificate to their store.

Our sponsor was so generous and allowed each of the design team members to pick a file from their store that we'd like to work with.

I chose their Black Cat Paperscape box which you can purchase here.

I have to say this box is easy to put together, a nice large size and super cool.
There is a cut out in the back to slip in your tea light.

My picture really doesn't do it justice, it is really much cooler in person!

Supplies Used: card stock - orange, yellow, black; patterned paper by We R Memory Keepers; cut file from Dreaming Tree

I can't wait to see your creation so pop on over to the Cut It Up blog and join us in the fun!

Die Cuttin' Dvas "Lots of Layers" Challenge

This time of year its hard to think about layers of anything!

It's so hot most of us want to have the least amount of layers as possible. Bathing suits are the preference.

But we want you to think about layers, lots of layers.
Our challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas this week is lots of layers.

.

Our sponsor for this weeks challenge is:

You have a chance to win a gift card to their store.

For my card I used one of their cut files called Lily Cascade Card

This makes a beautiful wedding card and is very simple to put together.

Supplies used: cardstock - white, silver foil; patterned papers by Pebbles; cut file from Dreaming Tree; sentiment stamp by Paper Smooches; pearls.

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.

Cut It Up "You Are My Sunshine" Challenge

Raining, raining, raining here, so we could use some of todays challenge!

We had hiking plans with the grandkids and had to change to indoor games. Oh well!
Time spent together is the important thing.

Well, anyway, it's time for this weeks challenge!!

Our new challenge over at Cut It Up is You Are My Sunshine!
Create a project that either has a sun on it, or includes things that make you happy. Don't forget a die cut!

Our sponsor for this weeks challenge is Dreaming Tree, and you have a chance to win a $15 certificate from their store.

I chose a darling box from their store, which just happens to be a free file which you can pick up here.

Fun little box to hold some trinkets in.

A note, I picked a piece of glitter paper that matched my yellow cardstock a little to perfectly, so I cut out another sun in black and placed it under my glitter sun to make it show up better.

Supplies Used: card stock - yellow, blue, glitter yellow, glitter blue; Dreaming Tree cut file; rhinestones.

I can't wait to see your creation so pop on over to the Cut It Up blog and join us in the fun!
