Cut It Up Bunnies or Baskets Challenge

Are you a fan of jelly beans? If so, do you like the traditional jelly beans or the Jelly Belly jelly
beans?

Actually I like both, but lean toward Jelly Belly's. My favorites are the pear flavored, pop corn flavored and bubblegum flavored. How about you?

With Easter on the way I purchased the big jar of Jelly Beans at Costco and have been enjoying grabbing a handful now and then.

Speaking of Easter, we have an Easter themed challenge this week.

Our challenge this week is Bunnies or Baskets, share a project with either bunnies or baskets and don't forget the die cut.

The sponsor for this weeks challenge is Cas-ual Fridays and you have a chance to win $25 to the store.

I created a small mason jar treat holder using a cut file from Silhouette Design Store.
On the front I attached a bunny using another cut file from Silhouette. He was holding carrots which I replaced with a couple of jelly beans.

For the sentiment I used a stamp set by our sponsor Cas-ual Fridays which you can purchase here.

Supplies Used: cardstock - white, 2 shades of pink, blue, black; patterned papers and stickers by Doodlebug; cut file s from Silhouette Design Store; stamp set from Cas-ual Fridays; twine from May Arts; mason jar; jelly beans

I can't wait to see your creation so pop on over to the Cut It Up blog and join us in the fun!

Cut It Up Tag! You're It! Challenge

I must apologize as this post should have been up on Friday morning. We were on vacation with our two grandchildren visiting The Redwood National Forest and just got back late last night. I had forgotten to schedule this before we left.

Our new challenge over at Cut It Up is Tag! You're it!

Create any project that is a tag or contains a tag.  Don't forget the die cut!

Our sponsor for this challenge is CAS-ual Friday Stamps. You have a chance to win a $15 certificate to their store and a Scallop Tag die set!

For my project I used two die sets by CAS-ual Friday stamps, Jumping Jacks Fri-dies and Tag Buddies Fri-dies, which CAS-ual Fridays so generously provided.

The Jumping Jacks dies also reminded me of plaint splatters, and I chose to go with that thought when creating my card.

For the background of my card I put ink drops on watercolor paper, added just a drop of water and blew through a straw to push the ink around and create my splatters. Then I die cut splatters in coordinating colors with the Jumping Jacks Fri-die.

I stamped my sentiment on a tag cut out with my Tag Buddies Fri-die and added a few Splatters to that.

Supplies Used: card stock - white, pink, purple, aqua; water color paper; Dies from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps; Posh Rainbow Inks; sentiment stamp by Inkadinkado; Ribbon from my stash.

Cut It Up Breast Cancer Awareness Challenge

As I think almost everyone is aware, October is breast cancer awareness month!

I am a survivor!!! I found a lump a little over 15 years ago and my journey began. I went through a mastectomy on my left breast, chemo, reconstructive surgeries, and Tamoxifen for 5 years. It was all grueling, but I am living to tell about it, and that is GOOD!!

One in 7 women will get breast cancer. Not very good odds. But early detection is a huge factor in survival rates.

Check your breasts and get your mamograms!!!

Our challenge over at Cut It Up is "Breast Cancer Awareness", create a project that promotes breast cancer awareness, and don't forget the die cut!

Our sponsor for this weeks challenge is CAS-ual Friday Stamps you have a chance to win a $15 certificate for their store.

For my project I used a stamp set and 2 dies from our VERY generous sponsor Cas-ual Friday Stamps. The sets are from her "Calling All Sistahs" line.

I just love this beautiful Breast Cancer Ribbon with all the pretty flowers.

Supplies Used: card stock - white, pink, yellow; pattern paper by We R Memory Keepers and Carta Bella; Stamps and dies by CAS-ual Friday Stamps; border punch by Martha Stewart
