Happy Place
Yesterday my niece and I took my sister shopping for a dress to wear to her high school reunion. We had a ball and got her all dolled up for the coming event. New dress, new shoes, and jewelry to match!
She's going to knock their socks off at the reunion!!! We topped the day off by going to see a chick flick, Bidesmaids, which was hilarious!
My sisters birthday was the 21st and I made this card for her. I am entering it in a challenge at Whimsical Wednesday.
This week the challenge was to use a color inspiration photo:
You can create any card/project that you would like, but you must include Yellow and Red, and then you can chose any other color/colors from the photo.
Supplies used: cardstock-yellow,red; patterned paper - Bloomers from Garden Variety by Cosmo Cricket; font - Freebooter script and Times; felt flowers - American Crafts; 1 3/4" circle punch - EK Success; button and twine - my stash.

Time In A Bottle
Wow, the weekend went by oh so fast. Another time I wish I could save "time in a bottle". I've always loved that song by Jim Croce and the lyrics are so true. I'm sure everyone could say that they wish they could save time in a bottle.
That is the title of this layout I did of my hubby playing with my grandson, his very first time at the beach. I am entering it into this weeks challenge at Twisted Sketches this week's twist is "Time" - any how, any way and the sketch is:
Here is my layout:
I used some shells and things I found on the beach.
And put some sand in a tiny bottle and hung it from the "B" with twine.
I really love how this layout turned out!
Supplies used: cardstock - light grey; patterned paper - Just Beachy Seashells and Just Beachy Palm Fronds by TPC Studio; border punch - EK Success; journal spot - October Afternoon; chipboard alphabet - Tinsel Thickers by American Crafts; bottle, twine - my stash.
Thanks for taking a peek!!
