You're Pretty Cool Kid

Just popping in today to share a card that I "cased" from a card I saw on Pinterest by Lizzie Jones, which you can see on her blog post here.

I just loved the way the fan was blowing confetti in the air! I though it would be fun, festive, and sparkly, to have my confetti be sequins.

I didn't have the stamp set she used, but they had the perfect little print and cut fan at the Silhouette Store. I masked a little oval on my card base and sponged it with some grey ink, and then placed my fan on top of it with some pop dots.

I created my sentiment on the computer. A little piece of scrap patterned paper from my stash for the bottom border and my card was complete :)

Supplies Used: card stock - white; patterned paper in Fiction by Basic Grey; print and cut file from Silhouette Studio; sequins from Papertrey Inc.; Pop Dots

Die Cuttin' Divas Pinterest Inspired Challenge

I don't know about you, but I'm addicted to Pinterest. My daily computer routine seems to always include blogging, Facebook and Pinterest. I seem to get so much inspiration from Pinterest and find myself scrolling through all the fun stuff for far to long.

Well this week our challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas is to create a project that is Pinterest inspired or Fellow Crafter inspired.

Our sponsor for this weeks challenge is Digital Delights!

When I came across this card on Pinterest, I fell in love with it. I adore the crisp. clean, white with just the addition of sequins for color. I also love the negative die cut of the word Happy. It is by Marybeth at Marybeth's Time For Paper.

For my version I used stamps and a die cut from a kit by Papertrey Inc. called Shakers and Sprinkles. The sequins are by Lawn Fawn.

Supplies used: card stock - white; die, stamps, transparency, mounting tape - Papertrey Inc.; ink - Stampin' Up; sequins - Lawn Fawn.

I Love You So Mulch

Hi, I'm popping in today with a card I created for a couple of challenges.

Over at Paper Smooches there is a new challenge using this picture as inspiration:

And there is a fun challenge this week over at Casology with a cue card of "Roots"

At first I thought it was going to be very hard for me to come up with a card using that cue. Then I remembered this darling stamp set by Paper Smooches that I had called Green Thumb. I knew it had carrots and radishes in it and, I believe, they are both root vegetables. Thus my card came into being.

Supplies used: card stock - white; patterned papers from Fiction 6 X 6 pad by Basic Grey and Bitty Dot Basics by Papertrey Inc.; stamps - Green Thumb by Paper Smooches; ink - Tuxedo Black by Memento; Copic Markers; corner rounder - Fiskars.

I used a stamp of the week by Unity called Cake Wishes, a Silhouette Studio cut file for the polaroid background and some washi tape from Pick Your Plumb.

Popcorn Tote / CTO #83

Tuesday again and time for more fun over at Celebrate The Occasion!

This week for our challenge  the theme is "Popping By!" (In honor of Popcorn Popping month, use popcorn on project). The DT has lots of fun inspiration to show you, so POP on by and check out the fabulous projects and leave a little love for the gals too.

For my project I made a gift tote. I saw one similar to this made by Lauren Meader. I used a template from Papertrey Inc. called Take Along Tote which you can purchase here. I cut it out in red cardstock and before I attached the pocket to the front I added strips of red and white paper, that I had rounded the tops of, so that it would look like a popcorn box. I attached a couple of tickets I had cut out with my Cameo and a punched star and circle with Movie Night spelled out in rub ons. After I attached the pocket I put a bag of Jolly Time Popcorn in with a little bit of paper shred for fun.

Inside I used a little bit of double sided tape to hold the DVD. and then tied the top of the tote with ribbon.

I think it's a really fun way to give a movie as a gift!!!

Supplies used: card stock - red, yellow, white; template - Take Along Tote by Papertrey Inc.; Star and Circle Punches - Stampin' Up; Silhouette Studio cut file; rub on alphabet - Doodlebug; ribbon and paper shred - my stash.
