Thinking of You!

My Mom is my biggest fan and insists on "purchasing" all her cards from me.

You heard that right, she insists on paying me although I'd be happy to give them to her.

She recently asked me to make her some "masculine" Thinking of You cards.

I thought the recent sketch at Freshly Made Sketches lent it itself perfectly for just that type of card.

For my card I used some patterned paper I picked up at Target of all places, and a leaf die by Sizzix.

The sentiment is from a stamp set by Simon Says Stamp that I received in their latest card kit.

Supplies used: card stock - kraft, orange and blue; patterned paper from a 6X6 pad in the Target dollar aisle; die - Sizzix; stamps set - Nutty Over You by Simon Says Stamp; enamel dots - Recollections; Versamark ink; embossing powder from my stash; Pop Dots

Thanks for stopping by!

Die Cuttin' Divas Book Challenge

Do you like to read?

Other than curling up with a good book, there is hardly anything better than crafting! Am I right?

We are combining the two over at Die Cuttin' Divas to celebrate Library Day.

This week our challenge is to create something with a book

.

I chose to use a page from an old childhood book I had that had completely fallen apart. Cover off, pages ripped, etc.

I found a clipart image of Rapunzel on the internet. I saved it to my desktop and then opened it with my Silhouette program. Using the trace tool, I traced the image so I could cut it out with my machine.

I created the sentiment in my Print Shop program because, lets face it, sometimes you just don't have the right stamp :)

Supplies used: card stock -vanilla, black, pink; page from a childhood book;  clipart image from the internet; Framelets - Sizzix; rhinestones - Kaiser Craft

Hope to see you playing along with us!!!!

Wedding Card

I wanted to play this week in the challenge over at Casology.

The cue word this week is Wedding.

I have to admit I pretty much cased a card I saw on Pinterest from the Splitcoast Stampers Board. Just loved the simplicity and elegance of it.

I used a couple of stamps and die from Paper Smooches.  For the glasses I used Free Spirits stamp set and Free Spirits Icons Wise Dies. For the sentiment I used Sentiment Sampler.

I also used Fancy Labels #4 Framelits by Sizzix.

Supplies used: card stock - recycled white, white glitter; stamps - Paper Smooches Free Spirits and Sentiment Sampler; dies - Paper Smooches Free Spirits Icons and Sizzix Fancy Labels #4; Gold Glitter; Pop Dots.

Thanks for taking a look!!
