This Moment...

I just adore this moment in time, captured in a picture, of my granddaughter playing dress up with my Dad. Michelle and her Great Grandpa both wearing hats and looking so cute together. I think the grin on my Dads face says it all.

I used this sketch I found on Pinterest to inspire my layout:

I grabbed some papers by Sassafras that I've actually had in my stash for ages. The title was cut with my Cameo using a Silhouette Studio cut file.

A doily, darling chipboard sticker by Crate Paper and a Flair button add some interest.

Lets Go Fly A Kite

Stopping by today with a layout I did of my grandson Jeff flying his kite.

I used some papers from Simple Stories "100 Days Of Summer" paper line along with some stickers, flair button and wood veneer embellishments.

I loosely based the layout on a scrapbook page I saw on Pinterest by Sara of Sarathings.

First Day of School

Today I am sharing a layout of my grandson Jeff's first day of Kindergarten!

He was so excited to be starting school and you can just see it in his face. His sister was so upset that she couldn't go with him. She had her backpack on and was sure she would be able to go to school too.
It was hard for her to understand that she had to wait two more years.

I "cased" a layout I saw on Pinterest by Susan Goetter. I used some old papers by Pebbles, that I have had for many years, but still love. I did a little stitching around the edge, in yellow, to highlight the yellow in Jeff's sign he is holding.

Flying High

I'm trying to get some scrapbooking done for my granddaughter and grandsons albums.

I had my daughter email me some of her favorite pictures that she would like in their albums. This last week I have been trying to get some layouts done of some of her pics. This was a picture of  Michelle out kite flying last April.  I love the angle my daughter took this picture at.

I used papers by Three Bugs in a Rug that I had in my stash. I thought they were perfect for this picture. The paper was so cute I felt like I really didn't have to add to much else. The little kite was cut out with my Cricut using the Create A Critter cartridge.

A House Is Not A Home......

I would first like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year, as this is my first post of the year!!

My daughters family adopted a dog from the local shelter on January 1st.

My grandson and granddaughter had been begging for a dog for quite awhile now so they were super happy and excited. He is a wonderful addition to their family. He is about 1 1/2 years old and has a super gentle personality. They decided to name him Chief.

I wanted to share a layout I made of Chief and my grandson. I created the layout using this sketch I found on Pinterest.
