Thanks Layout / Twisted Sketches

I am sad to announce that this will be the last challenge for Twisted Sketches. Anam has decided to step away from the scrapbook industry for a time and move on to some other aspects of her life. I wish her well in all her new endeavors. I have had so much fun being part of her team. She has given me many "twists" which have had me thinking outside the box and stretching my creativity.

The "twist" for this week is thanks. I am dedicating my layout to her! I would like to thank her for letting me be a part of her amazing design team. I had a blast!!!!!

Supplies used: cardstock - pink; patterned papers - Zac in Pop Star by Rusty Pickle, Rivoli by 7 Gypsies; border punch - EK Success; Copic Marker; chipboard sticker - K & Co.; Silhouette Studio cut file; alphabet stickers - ColorBok

Thanks for stopping by!!

Please continue on the hop by heading over to Lissa Marie's blog So Many Crafts So Little Time.

Pink Happy Birthday

Today is my nieces birthday and I would like to share the card I made for her.

It is a quick and easy card as all of the circles are stickers. I basically had fun placing these stickers, with rhinestones on them, throughout the card, stamped a sentiment on black cardstock and matted it with pink. Tied some twine on a pink button and voila!

Supplies used - cardstock - pink, black, white; stickers - Glitzer Circles by Glitz; stamp - Inkadinkado; ink - a la mode by Hamptom Art; button, twine - my stash.

I just wanted to let everyone know I am leaving on a cruise to Alaska today with my Mom and sister. I have not had much time to comment on blogs this week and will not have access to my computer again until July 3rd, so I apologize in advance for not making the rounds to all of my friends blogs. I will catch up with all of you when I return.

Guest designer for We R Memory Keepers

Awhile back I posted a card to the We R Memory Keepers facebook page that I had made with their Peep collection. You can view a picture of it here. Well, I was delighted and thrilled when they contacted me and invited me to be a guest designer for them. They sent me some paper and goodies from their Down On The Boardwalk collection and gave me free reign to create whatever I would like.

I'd like to share the projects I came up with for them.

The first is an invitation which has a slot you can put a small sample size of sunscreen in. I thought it would be so fun for a pool or beach party. The cut file for this is a chapstick card which I enlarged  to 9 X 11.525, so the slot could hold a small tube of sunscreen instead. When closed it measures
4 X 5 1/8 X 1. The title is also cut out with a Silhouette Studio cut file.

I added the cute bottom cut off strip to the right side of the inside. I stamped the invite on patterned paper, matted it and attached to the left inside. The flip flops are a Silhouette Studio cut file.

Supplies used: patterned papers - Sunbathe, Sea Breeze, Gone Surfin and Waves from Down On The Boardwalk by We R Memory Keepers; corner rounder - Fiskars; ribbon - my stash; Silhouette Studio cut files; letter stickers - Authentique; stamp - Hero Arts; suntan lotion.

Next I'd like to share a couple of easy, peasy cards I made. Both using a couple of their darling tags as the focal point of the front of the cards.

Supplies used: cardstock - kraft, brown; patterned papers - Barnacle & Beachball in Down On The Boardwalk by We R Memory Keepers; tags from Down on the Boardwalk by We R Memory Keepers; ribbon - my stash; brads - Basic Grey and my stash; photo corner punch - EK Success.

And, last but not least, I'd like to share a layout:

Supplies used: patterned papers - Barnacle, Coastline, Beach Towel, Gone Surfin, Beachball and Sunbathe all from Down On The Boardwalk by We R Memory Keepers; chipboard stickers - Layered Chipboard in Down On The Boardwalk by We R Memory Keepers; crochet lace - Down On The Boardwalk by We R Memory keepers; circle punches - EK Success; Silhouette Studio Cut Files; sewing machine; rub on - American Crafts; bubble dots - my stash.

This is a super fun line of paper and embellishments, just perfect for any summer themed project you may have in mind. I hope my creations have given you some inspiration of what you can do with these fantastic papers.

I would like to thank We R Memory Keepers for giving me this wonderful opportunity! It was so much fun playing with all their great products. I am honored that they thought enough of one of my creations to ask me to be a guest designer for them!!

Hop on over to the We R Memory Keepers facebook page, "like" them while you're there and give them a shout out that I sent you.! They have lots of wonderful inspiration for you.

Hello Sunshine / Twisted Sketches # 154

We've hit the middle of the week, which means it is time for a new sketch and "twist" over at Twisted Sketches!

This weeks "twist" is cloth and I have to say it was a challenge for me to figure out what I was going to do. It is good to get that push to think outside of the box though. After a lot of mulling over, the sketch, for some reason, inspired me to think sunshine so I decided to make a sun out of fabric.

I ironed some heat and bond onto the back of a 7" piece of fabric, then I cut a 6" circle out of it with my Cameo. I then ironed the circle onto my cardstock. I tore a bunch of strips from the same fabric and cut them at different lengths for the suns rays. I then zig zag stitched the rays onto the cardstock. A bit labor intensive, but I am happy with the result.

The title and the kite were also cut out with my Cameo using Silhouette Studio cut files. I tore the edges of the cloud paper strip for a distressed look. I also added a little ink and some magic mesh pieces to the cardstock base.

Supplies used: cardstock - kraft, blue, yellow, red, green, black; patterned paper - California by Best Creation; twine, fabric - my stash; ribbon, trim - Jack's World by Cosmo Cricket; Magic Mesh; ink - Gathered Twigs Distress Ink by Tim Holtz for Ranger; Silhouette Studio cut files; sewing machine; Pop Dots.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!!!

I'd like to share a card with you today that I made for Operation Write Home, using one of their sketches.

Floral Birthday Card

Happy, happy Friday everyone!!!
It's supposed to be a hot one here, with possible record breaking temps.

For todays card I was inspired by a card created by Windy Robinson. I used a couple of Authentique papers which I attached to my card base, zig zag stitched across where the papers met, and stitched around the edge. I attached a rhinestone flourish by Prima, wrapped a pretty satin bow around, attached some flowers and a couple leaves, and popped on a cute button tied with blue twine. The tag is an Authentique sticker which I applied a rub on to and attached with Pop Dots, tucking it under the button.

Supplies used: cardstock - white; patterned papers - Natural and Forever in Genuine by Authentique; sticker - Genuine Details by Authentique; rhinestone flourish - Prima; ribbon - Michaels; button, twine - my stash; rub on - 7 Gypsies; flowers - Michaels; Pop Dots; sewing machine.
