Cut It Up Mother's Day Challenge

Mom's day is a little over a week away.

Do you have a special card fof your Mom?

If not, than maybe we can get you motivated with our challenge for this week.

Our challenge this week is Mother's Day, share a project for Mom and don't forget the die cut!

The sponsor for this weeks challenge is Lawn Fawn and you have a chance to win $25 to their store.

I made a pretty shaped card with tulips for my creation. This card would be a nice card for almost any occasion. It is a cut file from the Silhouette Design store by Lori Whitlock.

The sentiment is also a cut file from the Silhouette store and I cut it out of vinyl.

I know I've said this before, but vinyl cuts small lettering beautifully and applies to your cardstock very easily.

Supplies Used: cardstock - vanilla, green, 2 shades of pink; matte vinyl in 2 shades of pink; cut files from Silhouette Studio; enamel dot from Echo Park.

I can't wait to see your creation so pop on over to the Cut It Up blog and join us in the fun!

Die Cuttin' Divas 3 - 2 - 1 Challenge

Wow, I thought spring had arrived in my neck of the woods, but no, we are back to snow :(

I am so ready for sunshine and flowers!

It's Tuesday and it is time for a new challenge. I hope this challenge sparks some ideas in your head and you decide to play along with us.

Our challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas this week is 3 - 2 - 1. Which means: 3 pattern papers, 2 embellishments, and 1 ribbon/bow

.

For my card I grabbed a stamp and die set from Stampin' Up for my little birdie.
I used a scalloped rectangle die from Papertrey Ink and a stitched circle die from Lawn Fawn.
My inspiration came from a card I had seen on Pinterest.

My two embellishments are sequins and enamel heart stickers.

I made my bow with some white twine.

Supplies used: card stock - green, grey; patterned papers by Recollections; stamps from Stampin' Up and Lawn Fawn; Dies from Stampin' Up, Papertrey Ink and Lawn Fawn; heart enamel stickers from Pebbles; sequins; twine; Versamark; white embossing powder; Pop Dots.

Die Cuttin' Divas Sketch Challenge

I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter weekend!

I really enjoyed my weekend at my parents home. I cooked, or should I say BBQ'd. Instead of traditional Easter ham we had bbq'd pork loins that had been marinated in a balsamic vinegar and fresh rosemary sauce. I also made potato salad and baked beans and my sister brought a fruit salad.
To top it off I made a lemon supreme pie for dessert. It was different than what we usually do, but everyone decided it might be our new tradition.

Since it is Tuesday, we are on to a new challenge

Our challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas this week is a sketch challenge.

.

I used my Cricut machine to create a pretty daisy bouquet for a Mother's Day card.

A Sizzix nesting oval die cut out my "frame" for the bouquet. Some twine and pearls for embellishments.

Supplies used: card stock - white, 2 shades of green, 3 shades of yellow;  patterned paper by Recollections; pearls by Kaisercraft; twine; stamp from Michaels.

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.

Die Cuttin' Divas Mother's Day/Feminine Challenge

This Sunday is the day we celebrate our Mothers!

A special day for all the Mom's who have given so much of themselves for their children.

We are honoring our Moms with this weeks challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas .

The challenge this week is Mother's Day/Feminine.

.

I chose a cut file by Lori Whitlock for my card which you can purchase here from the Silhouette Studio store.

Just a hint - I've found cutting my sentiments out of vinyl works super!
The small sentiments cut so perfectly in the vinyl and are so easy to attach to the cards. No glue involved :)

Supplies used: card stock - brown, kraft, 2 shades of purple, 2 shades of green, yellow; patterned paper is from my scrap pile; white vinyl; cut file by Silhouette Studio.

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.
