Cut It Up Halloween Challenge

The way the summer went by, before you can catch your breath it will be Halloween!

Hope you bought everything you need decor or craft wise, because they are already putting Christmas out in full force! I wish we didn't have to rush the seasons so. I don't want to have to think about what I may need for Halloween in July and August, but it seems that's the way it goes now.

Anyway, we would like you to think about Halloween for your creation this week.

Our challenge is Halloween. Create a Halloween project that contains a die cut.

Our sponsor is Dreaming Tree and you have a chance to win a $15 certificate to their store.

Our sponsor was so generous and allowed each of the design team members to pick a file from their store that we'd like to work with.

I chose their Black Cat Paperscape box which you can purchase here.

I have to say this box is easy to put together, a nice large size and super cool.
There is a cut out in the back to slip in your tea light.

My picture really doesn't do it justice, it is really much cooler in person!

Supplies Used: card stock - orange, yellow, black; patterned paper by We R Memory Keepers; cut file from Dreaming Tree

I can't wait to see your creation so pop on over to the Cut It Up blog and join us in the fun!

Woof

I was browsing through Pinterest the other night (not at all like me), mostly looking at cards.
It's so fun to see so much creativity out there!

A cute little card with a kitty perching over an envelope caught my eye.

It inspired me to make this little card with a stamp set I've had for years called Woof Woof by Recollections

I made the little envelope with kraft card stock using a Silhouette Studio cut file.

I think it is a fun card that you could use for almost any occasion.

Supplies used: card stock - kraft, recycled white; patterned paper from Chalkboard 6X6 paper pack by We R Memory Keepers; stamps - Woof Woof by Recollections; Ink - Jet Black Archival; enamel dots - Chalk by Adorn It; Pop Dots; Silhouette Studio cut file.

Be My Love Monster

I wanted to share a card I made for the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge blog.

This week is the Designer Drafts challenge. You can use the provided sketch either closely or loosely.

As you can see by my card I followed it rather loosely. I used stamps from Falling For You by Paper Smooches which my sweet daughter gave me for Mother's Day!!!!

I stamped the monster on patterned paper so I could fussy cut him out. I also did a lot of masking on the sentiment stamps, so that I could get the words Be and My; and also make the Love in Love Monster red.

Supplies used: card stock - recycled white; patterned paper - Crawly from Heebie Jeebies by We R Memory Keepers; stamps - Falling For You by Paper Smooches; ink - Tuxedo Black by memento, Barn Red Distress Ink by Tim Holtz for Ranger; sequins - Martha Stewart; google eyes - Michaels; sewing machine.
