Die Cuttin' Divas Sketch Challenge and RAK giveaway

You know that something good often comes from something bad, right?

Well, I feel bad for my daughter and son-in-law because they both came down with the flu at the same time. But, are you ready for the "something good"? I've got to spoil my grandkids for two nights in a row!!

Don't get me wrong, I would never wish anyone to get the flu, just sayin' I've enjoyed having the kids over.

Are you ready for a new challenge?

Our challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas this week is a sketch challenge!

.

For my card I chose a couple of cute bunny cut files from Silhouette Studio to make a sweet little Easter card.

The pattern paper is by Echo Park and the little sentiment is from paper by Doodlebug.

Supplies used: card stock - white, 2 shades of grey, 2 shades of pink;  patterned papers by Echo Park and Doodlebug; cut file from Silhouette Studio Design store; Enamel dot from Doodlebug

I would like to announce the winner of last weeks RAK surprise gift picked by Random.org:

Denise Bryant said...
Love your cute polar bear card!
Worst winter experience was when my daughter was little, about 5 years old. We had taken a winter vacation to go to the Lake Tahoe area from the central coast of CA where we lived. It was an 8+ hour drive for us to get to my husband's family cabin. Just as we arrived, our daughter threw up. It went downhill from there, as the bug took a turn with each one of us. We didn't feel well enough to drive home and had to extend our stay there. It was cold and we had snow to deal with, which we were't used to. All in all, a pretty miserable vacation! Had a hard trip home when we did feel well enough to travel, because our ears were so congested that it was painful to change elevation on the way down the mountain!

Congrats to Denise! If you email me your address I will mail your gift to you.

I have decided to continue with this RAK prize giveaway through the month of March!

If you leave me a comment this week telling me which is your favorite for Easter Cards, bunnies or chicks, you will be in the running for this weeks prize:

Easter Bunny Card

March is upon us, daylight savings time will start next weekend, and spring is just around the corner!

I'm ready for all of it, how about you?

Tired of cold weather, wind and snow; looking forward to sunshine and flowers blooming.

When I start thinking about spring, I think about Easter.

Today I'd like to share an Easter card I created with a cut file from the Silhouette Design store.
I just love the way this little bunny is balancing a couple of Easter eggs on his nose.

I also used a Silhouette Design store cut file for the pinking shear edge mat I cut from pink gingham pattern paper.

The cute little chipboard flowers and the sentiment are chipboard stickers by Echo Park.

Supplies Used: Card stock - white, black, grey, pink, 2 shades of teal; patterned paper by Echo Park;
Flower stem stamps by Lawn Fawn; chipboard stickers by Echo Park; sewing machine and thread.

Die Cuttin' Divas Sketch Challenge

We got more snow yesterday :(
I think I am MORE than ready for spring.
Snow, snow go away, come again some other YEAR!

Daylight Savings time is near, must be a sign that spring is on the way, right?!

It is Tuesday again and time for a new challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This week our challenge is a sketch.

.

I just rec'd my Simon Says Stamp card kit in the mail. It had the cutest bunny in the included stamp set, so I opted for an Easter Card so I could ink him up.

The kit also came with a darling egg stencil that I used for his background.

I die cut an oval in some patterned paper by Doodlebug to leave an opening for the egg stencil to peek through.

The sentiment is from the stamp set also!

Supplies used: Card stock - white, black, blue; pattern paper by Doodlebug; twine by Lawn Fawn; Copic markers; stencil - SSS; Versamark; white embossing powder; sequins.
