Whimsical Designs "Summer Time Fun" Challenge

Ok, we are kickin' into summer over at Whimsical Designs this week with our "Summer Time Fun" challenge!!

I don't know about the rest of you, but we have definitely hit summer here. Most of last week was in the 90's or 100's. And... it is only the first part of June, EEEK!

Our sponsor for this weeks challenge is Fresh Brewed Designs, with the prize  of 3 digi's of your choice.

For my project I made a cupcake box with a Silhouette Studio cut file. I covered it with some fun "Fishy" paper by Fancy Pants.
I used the image "Bob" from Fresh Brewed Designs on my tag. I printed him on Copic blending paper,  colored him with my Copics and fussy cut him out. I used double sided, removable tape to attach my tag (after removing the string) to a piece of paper and ran it through the printer. Used my Copics, again ,to color the water. I ran my piece of paper through the printer 2 more times, once with my patterned paper so I could fussy cut his bathing shorts and again with card stock for his visor and waist of the suit.
Attached everything together on the tag, applied a little Glossy Accents to his sun glasses, put my string back on and stamped a sentiment from Stephanie's Everyday Sentiments which you can purchase here.

Off to Starbucks to pick up a muffin and a frap. My little apology gift is finished! And.. No, I didn't really use it, hehe!!! Ate the muffin and drank the frap myself :)

Supplies used: card stock - orange; patterned paper - Fish Farm in Beach Babe by Fancy Pants; Copic blending paper; tag - Staples; image - Fresh brewed Designs; Copic markers; Glossy Accents; stamp - Whimsical Designs "Everyday Sentiments"; ink - Tuxedo Black by Memento; muffin and frap - Starbucks.

The design team has some super "Summer Time Fun" projects to show you, so click on over to Whimsical Designs to check them out!!!!

Link Up For Pink Challenge #11

It's the third Thursday of the month, which means it is time for a new challenge over at Link Up For Pink! I hope you'll join us in spreading awareness and reminding your girlfriends and family to get their Mammograms.
The theme for the challenge is breast cancer awareness,  inspirational, healthy reminders, "celebrate more birthdays", you're in  my thoughts, encouragement, etc.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Fresh Brewed Designs and the prize is three digital images and a bonus prize!!!

For my card I used one of Heathers digital images called Chick With Bunny Ears which you can purchase here. I printed it on card stock and cut it into a tag which I then paper pierced all around the edges. I also printed the chick on a scrap of yellow patterned paper I had, fussy cut it and glued it onto my chick on the tag. I added some grass and flowers too! The sentiment was done on my computer.

Supplies used:  card stock - white, green; patterned paper form Peep by We R Memory Keepers; digital image - Fresh Brewed Designs; Copic markers; paper piercing template and tool - Bazzill; Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge; flowers, button and twine - my stash; Pop Dots

r>

Wow, I can't believe how time has flown by lately!!!!

I hope you are gearing up to join us and link up your Breast Cancer Awareness projects. You are definitely not going to want to miss this party!!!! Show your support, spread the awareness and get in the running for all the super giveaways!!!!!

Because we are so close to our linking party challenge #6 will run for only one week.

LUFP

The challenge will be from 9/20 to 9/26 with a winner announced 9/27.

We have two sponsors for this challenge that we'd like to shout out a BIG thank you to:

and
LUFP

The prize will be a stamp from Fresh Brewed Designs and some cotton muslin bags from State Line Bag Co.

The design team had so much fun altering these bags from State Line Bag Co. with Heathers fun stamps!

Here is mine made with Coffee Take Me Away which you can purchase here.

I think it would make the perfect gift bag for a Starbucks gift card or fill it with some beans and add a cute coffee mug for a special gift.

I stamped the image on the bag and colored it with Copic Markers.
A couple hints when doing this: 1. put a piece of paper in the bag so that the ink and markers don't bleed through to the back of the bag, and 2. Don't color all the way to the edge of the image as the ink will bleed a little.

I sewed the ribbon trims to the top and the bottom of the bag. I poked three holes in the bag, on the cup image, to put the heart brads through and cut two small slits on the sides of the towel to tie the ribbon through . I hand sewed the butterfly buttons and the canvas sentiment on. Oh, and I also tied a flower to the drawstrings.

I hope you'll hop over to Link Up For Pink to see what the rest of the design team did, there are some FABULOUS creations to take a peek at!!!!!!

Please come play with us in challenge #6 and join us for our SUPER linking party!!!
