Cut It Up Just In C.A.S.E. Challenge

If you don't know what C.A.S.E. means, here is an explanation from the CAS (Clean And Simple) blog:

CASE – Stands for “Copy and Share Everything.” The best inspiration for cardmaking comes from admiring other people's cards. Sometimes also called “scraplifting.”

I will admit that I peruse Pinterest and do a lot of "scraplifting". It's fun to draw inspiration from someone else, but put your own twist on it.

Our challenge is "Just In C.A.S.E." CASE a project, share a link to the project you're CASEing.
Don't forget the die cut!

Our sponsor is My Scrap Chick and you have a chance to win a $20 certificate to their store.

Our sponsor was so generous and allowed each of the design team members to pick a file from their store that we'd like to work with. Thank You!

I saw these cute cards on (you'll never guess) Pinterest!

The blog is Welcome ZÜ Le Blog

I used the cut file Batty 4 You from The Scrap Chick to create my version.

Here is a pic of him with his wings folded closed and his eyes are peeking out.

Here is a pic of his wings open.

Supplies Used: card stock - white, black, light pink; patterned paper by Authentique; cut file from My Scrap Chick.

Cut It Up Bugs and Critters Challenge

I'm excited for two things!

1. It is supposed to get up to 77º this weekend, WooHoo!!!

2. It's time for a fun, new challenge over at Cut It Up.

Our new challenge over at Cut It Up is Bugs and Critters!
Create a project that has a bug or other critter on it. Don't forget a die cut!

Our sponsor for this weeks challenge is My Scrap Chick, and you have a chance to win a $20 certificate to their store.

For my project I  chose a to use Ladybug Love to create a coffee mug.
I have a reputation with my family for being unapproachable until I've had my first cup of coffee.
I once paid my daughter $5, when we were camping, to bring me a cup of joe so I didn't have to get out of my sleeping bag :)
I thought this mug suited me perfectly.

To create this mug I used Oracal 651 vinyl which I purchased from Expressions Vinyl.
You can purchase this vinyl here.

The cut file comes with three layers in case you want your spots to be a different color. I wanted my spots to be black, so I only cut out two layers.

I cut the black layer first, and used transfer tape to attach it to my mug.
I then cut the red "wings" and attached it with transfer tape on top of the black body.

Viola, my mug was finished. Easy, Peasy and oh, so cute!

Supplies Used: plain white mug; cut file from My Scrap Chick; Oracal 651 vinyl in black and red; transfer tape.

Cut It Up Organization Challenge

I don't know about you, but I am not always the most organized person :(

And part of that problem causes me to always seem to be looking for a pen and paper to write a list with.

So this weeks challenge inspired me to do something about that.

Our new challenge over at Cut It Up is Organization!
Don't forget a die cut!

Our sponsor for this weeks challenge is My Scrap Chick.
You have a chance to win a $20 certificate to their store.

For my project I used their cut file called Note Holder which you can purchase here.

I cut it out with some old Peachy Keen paper by American Crafts.

The cut file also comes with the ability to cut the square notecards with a heart cutout.

Now I won't be searching for that paper and pen!

Supplies Used: card stock - whitepatterned paper in Peachy Keen by American Crafts; cut file by My Scrap Chick
