Die Cuttin' Divas Back To School Challenge

It's hard for me to believe, but my grandkids have already gone back to school today!

What happened to the days when you didn't go back to school until after labor day?

Seems like they should be swimming instead of cooped up in a classroom in the heat. Oh well!

Since it's Tuesday we have a new challenge for you over at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This week our challenge is back to school.

.

I made some pencil holders for my grandchildren to take to their teachers as back to school gifts.

The cut file is from Silhouette Studio and is called 3D TEACHER PENCIL HOLDER GIFT
by Jamie Cripps
Design ID #58487

To print the teachers name I created the names in my print shop program and then used double sided tape to attach the cut flags to the printed paper, over the names, and then ran it back through the printer,

Supplies used: card stock - white, red, yellow, 2 shades of green; pattern papers by Doodlebug, Lawn Fawn and Authentique; magnetic clip by Pebbles; Market tags by I kan'dee; Print Shop program; twine by May Arts; Silhouette Studio cut file.

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.

Hope to see you playing along with us!!!!

Die Cuttin' Divas 3D Challenge

Tuesday has rolled around again and we have a new challenge for you over at Die Cuttin' Divas.

We want you to stretch your creativity past one dimension.

Our challenge this week over at  Die Cuttin' Divas  is 3D

.

I am using a cutting file from The Cutting Cafe who is our sponsor this week.

I had braces when I was young and remember anxiously awaiting the day I would get them removed.

I couldn't wait to have my pearly white smile back again.

I decided to take this cute calendar file and make a countdown calendar for the day you get your braces off :)

The smile with braces and the teeth are cutting files from Silhouette Studio and the sentiment is from SVG Cutting Files.

Supplies used: card stock - 2 shades of blue, red, black, white, silver; patterned papers - Lawn Fawn; cutting files - The Cutting Cafe, SVG Cutting Files and Silhouette Studio; Cuttin' Up Cricut cartridge.

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.

Hope to see you playing along with us!!!!

Puffy Heart Flower Pot

Valentines will soon be upon us and I thought I'd work on some decor items for my home.

Today I thought I'd share a project I made for the Snapdragon Snippets blog. It's a 3D flower pot with a puffy heart flower.

The flower pot is amazing! Very sturdy after you put it together and so realistic looking.
You can get the cut file for it here

It even has the water draining hole on the bottom :) How cool is that?

The puffy heart is so darling! Easy, peasy too!! You can get the cut file for it, here.

I hope you enjoy making this as much as I did!!!!!

Supplies used:  card stock - green; patterned paper - With Love by Pebbles; dowel, florist foam, ribbon - Michaels; paper shredding - World Market;  cut files - Silhouette Studio.

Thanks for stopping by!
