I wanted to share a card I made this weekend with you. I really need to get some more birthday cards made as my stash is getting low. I was inspired by my new Paper Crafts magazine called, of all things, Get Inspired. I used a gorgeous border cut file from Silhouette Studio and a pretty antique button which was in a gift basket from my sister.
Supplies used: cardstock - white, black; patterned paper - Vintage Linen from For The Record by Echo Park Paper Co.; die cut file - Silhouette Studio; black ribbon - Michaels; copper charm, resin rose - Making Memories; antique button - my sister; brad - my stash; sentiment stamp - my stash.

Jewelry Display
I wanted to share another Christmas gift project with you. My husband and I worked on this together. We made one for each of my daughters and one for me too! :). I found this idea on Pinterest and knew right away I wanted to make it. There is a wonderful tutorial at Design Sponge. We followed the tutorial almost to the letter.
They were a huge hit, my daughters loved theirs and I am thrilled with mine!!

Home Sweet Home
I wanted to share with you the gift I made for my brother for Christmas. I had seen something similar on Pinterest in which they had used maps of important places and a family tree. It gave me the inspiration for this idea.
For the first frame I cut a heart around the portion of a map of California which had the town we grew up in - Livermore. I punched a heart from red cardstock and glued it where the mark for Livermore was on the map. I stitched the map heart to the background paper (on which I had printed "Sweet Memories") with red floss.
For the second frame I did the same thing but with a portion of a map of the city of Livermore which had the street our home was on - El Caminito. I tried to place the red heart where our house was on the street. For the caption, this time, I put "Home Sweet Home".
For the last frame I made a collage of pictures in Photo Shop of my brothers, sister, Mom, Dad and I.
It was fun to make and I think it brings back wonderful memories!
Supplies used: frame - Michael's; patterned paper - my stash; sentiment printed on computer; photo collage done in Photo Shop
