Today I have a fun project to share with you and it's part of the Valentine's Day Blog Hop!
If you've happened upon my blog, you'll want to start at the beginning of the hop: Bella Scrapbook Designs. If you've come here from Mommy's Crafty Creations you're on track. Here is the line up if you get lost:
Sylvia- http://www.bellascrapbookdesigns.blogspot.com/
Veronica- http://www.mommyscraftycreations.blogspot.com/
Esther- http://www.forthejoyofcreating.blogspot.com/
Chris- http://www.chrissandlou.blogspot.com/
Diana- http://www.daisylovecreations.blogspot.com/
Eva- http://www.evasscrapsncards.blogspot.com/
Patty- http://www.creativediva98.blogspot.com/
Sandy S. - http://www.thecraftycreationspot.blogspot.com/
Cori- http://www.createdbycori.blogspot.com/
Pam L. http://www.mzlavr2.blogspot.com/
Laura- http://www.sunflowercreations9530.blogspot.com/
And here is my project:
I started with an inexpensive frame from Walmart. I used the glass as a template and cut a piece of cardboard to fit inside and a piece of patterned paper to cover the cardboard. Then I went to Wordle. If you've never been to Wordle, you've got to go try it out as it is loads of fun. You type in lots of words in the subject of your choice and it randomly scrambles the words. You can change the colors, the font and the way it is scrambled. If you want a word larger than the others you simply type it more times. I typed Valentine's Day 3 times and love, heart and kiss twice. If you want two words together you type it with ~ in the middle and no spaces. For example: Valentine's~Day.
When I had my wordle ready I wanted to print it on fabric, so I followed the tutorial at instructables, it was so easy and worked perfectly!!!! Then I sewed the fabric to my sheet of patterned paper and frayed the edges just a bit by pulling out some threads. I added a few hearts and a cute button with twine and it was ready to place in the frame!
Supplies used: frame - Walmart; patterned paper - Sweetheart in With love by Pebbles; fabric - JoAnn's; hearts - Je t'adore by Making Memories; button, twine - my stash; sewing machine.
Hope you enjoyed my project! Now what's a blog hop without a little candy? I put together a scrapbookers version of a box of chocolates, with some fun little Valentine's Day embellishments. For a chance to win you simply must be a follower and make a comment on this post. I'll pick a winner on Monday. Good Luck!
Now you're off to see what Chris has to show you at Scrappin' With Chris & Lou!!
