Cut It Up New Years Resolutions Challenge

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

I sure did. We had a lovely gathering at my eldest daughters house!
Lots of yummy food, fun games. good times :)

Now it's time to think about the new year ahead,
Do you have any New Years resolutions?

I have a few. Some of them involve my health and some of them involve crafting :)

Our challenge this week is New Years Resolutions. Create a project to include New Years Resolutions and don't forget the die cut!

The sponsor for this weeks challenge is Kitten Scraps and you have a chance to win a $20 certificate to their store.

One of my New Years resolutions is to get healthier. I am terrible about drinking water and I want to get better about it. I decided to up-cycle a water bottle to encourage me to drink more water.
I used a cut file from Silhouette Studio and a font to create a vinyl saying for my water bottle.

I cut some colored vinyl rectangles that I placed behind the time reminders.

Supplies Used: vinyl in white, blue, pink, green, yellow, purple; Silhouette Studio cut file; Abalone font; water bottle from Michaels

World Hello Day is a holiday that is celebrated by over 180 countries all over the world and has the purpose of not only making people aware of the need for better communication to sow the seeds of peace but to bridge the cultural barriers between the people of all nationalities.

The only real custom associated with World Hello Day is the practice of saying ‘hello’ to friends, families and strangers. People who want to celebrate this holiday should take the time to say hello to at least 10 people they encounter throughout the day – particularly strangers.

Die Cutttin' Divas Halloween Challenge

I enjoy all the holidays immensely, but Halloween is my favorite!

I also like to make little goodies for a few of our neighbors, so combine making treats and then doing it with a holiday theme, well, that is so much fun.

I used this weeks challenge to do just that.

Our challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas this week is Halloween.

.

I'm sure you've heard of the tradition of "Booing" someone.
You leave a little package of treats, ring the doorbell, and run.
The person who gets "Boo'd" is supposed to then "Boo" someone else.

I found these darling "Boo" boxes at the Silhouette Design store and went to work making them for my neighbors.

They are made so that the handle can hang on the door knob.

Here are pics of each "Boo" box separately.

I added a little ribbon and twine to dress them up a bit.

Now to decide what to fill them with, and the fun begins!

Supplies used: cardstock - black, grey, purple, white;  pattern papers by Authentique and Doodlebug; cut file from Sillhouette; twine from American Crafts and Target; ribbon from Michaels.

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.
