Die Cuttin' Divas Sequins, Gems or Pearls Challenge

Wow, we are already at the end of August!

The summer just flew by.

Do you have any fun plans for Labor Day weekend? We are going to a BBQ/Picnic on Monday and we will be playing Corn Hole and some other fun outdoor games :)

It's Tuesday so we have a new challenge for you at DCD's.

The challenge this week over at Die Cuttin' Divas is Sequins, Gems or Pearls.

.

My card was created using stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn.

I also used a cut file from Silhouette for the Heart.

It's hard to tell in the picture, but I put a little Nuvo Crystal Drops on the bubbles in the fish bowl.

The sentiment was heat embossed with black embossing powder.

The spattering of sequins mocks the bubbles in the fish bowl.

Supplies used: card stock - white, blue; patterned paper by Crate Paper; Silhouette Studio cut file; stamps and dies by Lawn Fawn; Versamark; black embossing powder; sequins; Copic markers.

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.

Hope to see you playing along with us!!!!

Die Cuttin' Divas Back To School Challenge

Around my neck of the woods school has been in session for over a week now!

My grandchildren both love their teachers and seem happy to be back.

Some of you may still be enjoying summer, but it won't be long and everyone will be carrying their backpacks and lunches.

The challenge this week over at Die Cuttin' Divas is a Back To School.

.

I took the opportunity to use this challenge to make something for my grandchildren to take to their teachers on the first day of school.

This cut file is by Jamie Cripps. It is called TEACHER TWO SHELF STORAGE ORGANIZER and is available at the Silhouette Design Store here.

I filled this organizer with a pencil sharpener, an apple shaped sticky note pad, red checking pencils to correct papers with and some regular No. 2 pencils.

Supplies used: card stock - white, black, red, 2 shades of green; patterned papers were scraps from school papers I had; Silhouette Studio cut file; twine.

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.

Die Cuttin' Divas Bye Bye Summer Challenge

My grandchildren went back to school this week!

I guess the days of going back to school after labor day are long gone :(

So, it seems very appropriate to be saying goodbye to summer this week,

The challenge this week over at Die Cuttin' Divas is a Bye Bye Summer.

.

I must confess that I totally "Cased" a card I saw on Pinterest, because it was just to cute not to copy.

The bikini bathing suit die is from Simon Says Stamp.

The stamped sentiment and papers are from the same card kit as the bikini die, all from Simon Says Stamp.

Added a little stitching on the "towel" with some floss.

Supplies used: card stock - white, yellow; patterned paper, stamp and die from Simon Says Stamp; Silhouette Studio cut file.

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.
