I have a card for you today that would be fun to send to a child. I remember as a child I loved to get those interactive cards, like the ones you could color, or had stickers, etc. This one is so easy because the web site does all the work for you. You simply go to www.discoveryeducation.com , under Parents from the drop down list you click on Additional Resources and then you click on Puzzlemaker. There are lots of different puzzles you can make, this one is the Word Search.
Then its as simple as typing in the words you would like to include and Puzzlemaker does the rest.
The card is 5 1/2" square and I cut 1" off the bottom front so I would have a place for the pencil. On the bottom I cut a small slit to put the ric rac through to hold the pencil in place. I taped it on the back, but it is hidden by the solution to the puzzle.
Supplies used: cardstock - kraft, pink, white; patterned paper - Easter Bouquet in Peeps by We R Memory Keepers; ric rac, pencil, sticker - my stash; Puzzlemaker.

Happy Easter Peeps
I know this card has been done many times before, but I had to do my own.
All the shapes on this card were cut with Silhouette Studio files - the bunnies, the grass, the clouds. And.... the great thing about this card is you can make it with just cardstock, no patterned paper needed.

Sweet Sunsations / Twisted Sketches #144
Hope everyone is having a wonderful week.
Since it's hump day, it's time for a new sketch and "twist" over at Twisted Sketches. The "twist" this week is weather and I hope you'll hop on over to the blog to pick up the sketch and check out all the fantastic inspiration the design team has for you.
I chose to do a layout of a couple beautiful sunsets in Monterey.
The title was cut out using my Cameo.
I found this quote and it really expressed how I feel, so I had to add it to the layout, along with a few shells.
Supplies used: cardstock - yellow, blue, orange, cream; patterned paper - Barefoot Stripe in Barefoot & Bliss by BoBunny; Silhouette Studio, sea shells, pop dots.

Thanks For Giving A Hoot
Just a little Thank You card I made.
I cut the owl with my Cameo using A Silhouette Studio file. I printed the sentiment on the patterned paper using my computer, minus the word "Hoot" which I used chipboard letters for. Added a button and a brad for eyes on the owl. All in all, pretty easy, peasy.

Wishing You A Beautiful Day / Whimsical Wed. #46
It is Wednesday and we have a new challenge for you over at Whimsical Designs, this week the challenge is Celebrate Spring. Very fitting, since yesterday was the first day of spring!
On a sad note, I have to announce that this will be the last Whimsical Wednesday challenge. Stephanie will keep her blog and will still be selling her stamps, but she is taking a break from running the challenges. We would like to thank everyone for their support of Whimsical Wednesday. We have enjoyed your participation and it has been fun each week to visit your blogs and see all your wonderful creations.
Here is my take on this weeks challenge:
I started with a kraft cardstock base. To that I added a border punched piece of turquoise cardstock and a pretty piece of patterned paper. The butterfly postage stamp is a sticker that I stamped the cancellation marks on. I fussy cut the butterfly from some paper and glued only the body to the patterned paper. I wrapped twine around the card and wove it through the buttons tying a knot in between each button. I finished it off with a stamp from Stephanie's Whimsical Fun Vol.1 which you can purchase here.
Supplies used: cardstock - kraft, turquoise; patterned paper - Damsel In Distress by Quick Quotes Paper; butterfly stamp sticker - element stickers in Curio by Basic Grey; postmark cancelation stamp - Travel Time Stamps by Inkadinkado; sentiment stamp - Whimsical Fun Vol.1; ink - Gathered Twigs Distress Ink by Tim Holtz for Ranger; border punch - Martha Stewart; butterfly emphemera, buttons, twine - my stash.
Wishing all of you a beautiful day!!!

So Sweet
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and has some fun plans. We are going to dinner and a movie tonight with some dear friends of ours. I'm really looking forward to it!!
I've had this In Stichz template by Bazzill for several years now. I finally pulled it out last weekend and whipped up this card.
I used some Spellbinders nestabilities to cut out the strawberry that I had stitched on kraft cardstock. Also used the nestabilities on a piece of red cardstock. Glued them together and punched a hole in the corner so that I could run my ribbon through it. Border punched a strip of patterned paper, which I attached to my card base. Tied the ribbon around my card and through the strawberry piece which I had put pop dots on. Stamped the sentiment and punched out with an oval punch. attached it to a scalloped oval punched piece of red cardstock, which was also attached to the card base with pop dots.
The sentiment stamp is from Stephanie's Whimsical Fun Vol.1, which you can purchase here.
This has definitely become my "go to" stamp set.

Doily St. Patrick's Day
I wanted to share this card with you that I made over the weekend.
I had some shamrock doily's that I bought a couple years ago. I thought that one would make a cute background for a card. The doily is foil, and I felt a bit to shiny, so I inked it up with white and olive green ink to tone it down.
I fussy cut another doily from patterned paper and glued it to the top of my inked up doily.
